It'd be nice if we had replacer options, ie., replace f***ing with our own diabolic word. What a mother loving frizzle frazzle! Yeah, I basically just took this idea from SomethingAwful, but still!

Can you please add support for chat colours in your mod?
Why would you want chat colors? You want to ***s to appear in red or something? You can't make a client mod that allows you to speak in colored chat on a server or the server will kick you.
Do you think you could possibly add a part to the configuration file where it would say what words not to censor? Random example; you want it to censor "a**", but not "brass". In the config file it could be something similar to the lines of:
"No-Censor List: blah blah blah.."
Thought it might be helpful.
When will the one for 1.7.2 be out? Please be quick because im getting very annoyed without this mod
The update to 1.7.2 won't be out until MCP is updated for the vanilla version, and until forge is updated for the forge version. This could be a while, as indicted by SeargeDP's tweets. (The author of MCP)
Hey, since forge is out for 1.7.2, can you think about bringing this back? My sister just got into Minecraft and she wants to play on public servers with us, but there's too much foul language. Thanks a bunch!
i want to avoid bad language, and since i can't play minecraft without multiplayer. (because it's boring without it) this mod is perfect for what i need. ty for taking the time to making this. it really means a lot to me, i was close to giving up on minecraft multiplayer. heres a notch!
Hey, can you update this mod? Or maybe release the source so we can try to update it? I am not very experienced with modding, but wouldn't this be easy to update as its only based on chat and not the biomes and other features that 1.7 brings in?
P.S. I love the mod.Oh, just realized there is a source
I have made a temporary replacement for the SafeChat mod that works for 1.7.2,
It is called CleanBean, all it does is block the message if it contains any of the words listed in the config file. It was made by decompiling the old SafeChat code and making some of it work for the 1.7.2 Client.
1. download the zip and unzip it to your appdata > .minecraft > versions folder (inside the versions folder there should be a folder called cleanbean and inside the cleanbean folder there should be two files called cleanbean)
2. Open Minecraft
3. Click "New Profile"
4. In the profile name, type it as "cleanbean", all of it lower-case.
5. In the "use version" selection field, select "use cleanbean"
6. Save
7. Make sure in the profile dropdown list, "cleanbean" is selected
8 All done, click play. You may add or delete words in the config file that is located in the "config" folder of minecraft. The config file is called "cleanbean.properties".

This mod would not have been made at all if not for:

Beany, motivation and inspiration
And lastly but in no way least: Jesus who gave me compassion and love for all the kind-hearted people just wishing for simple things in life.

[1.16.4] Safechat
This solves everything!
Thanks
Delete it and let it regenerate. You probably have a config from an older version of the mod.
