Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand Fancy Fences doesn't work. My installed mods: Forge (including Forge ModLoader), Optifine, TooManyItems, an in-game NBTEdit, and all of the Vanilla with Sprinkles mods, all Forge except for the Rotation Key mod because there isn't a Forge version.
Uninstalling the other mods that I have (I mean, besides Forge and the Vanilla with Sprinkes mods) doesn't help a bit.
That is because rotation key affect fancy fence. Disable the option in the config.
But really, you install a modloader addon mod with a bunch of forge and you can't figure out why something is broken ?
Sorry for the late reply and don't be rude, koopinator is probably quite busy. Alway take the time to thanks the modder for their mod. Even if something doesn't. Because they are worth it.
Hi again after a long time. I got an idea, I haven't thought about how overpowered/underpowered that might be or not, but I had an idea for the Metal Rods, maybe you could add a crafting recipe for the chain armor crafted with iron rods.
That actually a really good idea. Maybe, to avoid the armor being to easy to make. Some iron rod and iron ingot.
I've been trying to get Dungeons and Loot to work using MultiMC along with Extrabiomes & Biomes A 'plenty on 1.4.7 but as of yet it doesn't seem to be adding any of the dungeons etc. Is there something that I need to do to get these working together? I'm also using the latest forge v 6.6.6.497.
TIA :-)
Just a wild guess here, maybe the various biome mod override back dongeon and mineshaft. I think structure generation (unless mod added like ruins) is tied with biome. (even if they are all the same :X).

I really wish that Koopinator would update that Sphax texture patch for these mods. This is too good of a mod to let it go without having it in Sphax-style, since I'm using the Sphax texture pack.
I prefer your walls to the vanilla walls but I am having a problem. There is a mod or two that uses the vanilla cobblestone wall as a recipe item, since fancy fences replaces this wall I can not use the recipe. Would it be possible to have fancy fences without overriding the vanilla walls?

Normally third party update sphax texture for mod. Kopinatoor just made pub for it.
These should really be implemented into Vanilla in 1.6 or later
Normally, if it is a override as you said, it should work since recipe use item id.
i suspect the vanilla wall is just inacessible, if it was truly a override it would have worked. (Since the id would then be the same) Also did you check the config file ?
Mod that can help you: http://www.planetminecraft.com/mod/customrecipes/
This let you create your own custom recipe. Find the item id with NEI and use this to create your. Really compatible too. Both modloader and forge.

Is there any way to make these mods (Better Blocks & Items, Dungeons & Loot and Useful Storage) more texturepack-friendly? These three have only one terrain.png that they use, and while it is certainly convenient, I, personally, don't like to see default planks when i have D&L installed, and still see the default log textures even if I have BetterWood feature disabled.
I know I may be asking a lot, and be grateful to modder for his work (and I truly am, btw). I also know that I can make a terrain.png for these mods for all the texturepacks that I use. But I was wondering if there's a way to make this mod compatible with any texturepack by default.
I'm not saying that there should be some crazy 'texture overlay' feature that would get the planks texture, for example, and apply moss or cracks overlay to it to make mossy and cracked planks textures. It would be fine if people had to make only mossy and cracked planks textures for this mod to be compatible with a texturpack, but I don't see much convenience here when I load the game and have the default planks next to stairs with the new texture.
Other than that, these mods are pretty awesome. Can't wait to try out the Biome Colors when it comes out.
could we get some kind of prerelease for the biome thingy mod ?
been using underground biomes for quite a long time now and the amount of different blocks was annyoing
my servers wolrd got corrupted anyways so it would be awesome to be able to use your awesome work on the new map
Might have a full release ready soon, actually. I think that the texture changes in 1.5 may have given me exactly what I need to solve the main issue I've been having (figuring out how texture overlays are rendered).
I'll give it another shot as soon as I finish up some updates, but if I'm wrong and it still doesn't work out I can do a sort of pre-release with what I have.

any reason for the better wood part of the better blocks and items mod.
using a texture pack and it took me a few hours to find out why the wood wouldn't change textures most of the better wood is implemented in the standard minecraft except maybe the different colors of crafting tables.

Sorry, I can't really understand what you're trying to say. Could you please rephrase this?
Oh, gotcha. That's a side-affect of avoiding base edits and the way that Forge used to handle textures. With Better Wood the textures for logs are all read from the mod files, so if you'd like to customize them you can replace the terrain.png packaged with the mod. Otherwise you can disable the betterwood option in the mod's config to avoid the issue entirely.
Thanks to the new texture format this may no longer be an issue once I update for 1.5.
i did end up just disabling the better wood option. I don't know exactly what that part of the mod does but it fixed my problem. It is good to know it should be fixed with how 1.5 handles textures though.
maybe you can add more heads.

I really want better blocks, fancy fences, and the rotate key but I want them for a server....so I'm wondering how I can tell?
Is it just the forge ones that are server? That sucks if so because I don't have forge :(.

Why does your mod overwrite the Tree's Wood Textures? Cannot use texture packs properly because your overwriting how the trees look with your mod.
In the meantime you can edit the terrain.png file packaged with the mod, or disable the betterwood config option to avoid the issue entirely.
