Yes, it will say some outrageous number like, 1724 / 17
perhaps you can make a tutorial on how to configure this, im having trouble.
That shouldn't be happening (if it happens a reconnect to the server should fix it). Did you have that amount after logging into the server, after enchanting, what were the conditions? Because when I tested it with a server it worked fine.
There is currently no tutorial as I'm not sure what else I could put into it other than the examples in the main post and the default config that is created (the one shown in one of the screenshots). If you're still having trouble you can post your existing config and tell me what you want and I'll do it for you.
The custom configuration i was trying to make

Thought so. I'll see if I can fix the issue, otherwise I'll revert back to the old experience calculations (the old may show +/-1 experience, but that's still better than not reseting at all).
Also, here's the config (for colors just add $COLOR where you want them - the weapon damage is taken from the complex example, goes from green to yellow, red and dark red):

Hey mate! I love your Schematica mod! I made a mod spotlight for it!
Hope you enjoy it!

Looks great, thank you! I've added it to the main post, should help out people new to the mod to quickly learn how to use it.
I've noticed the flashing in the video, were you using the latest version of Schematica at the time of recording (26th Aug, v1.1.0.9)? If it was the latest version I'll have to add that to the config, so people can get rid of it by increasing the delta manually (basically I'm drawing the blue cube just around the block cube with a delta of 0.005 in the latest version which equals to 0.5% of a block's width/height/length).
do ypu put the color code before or after or in the { }
You only put the variable name from the main post inside {}. So you have to do $9{varname}$f to make it whatever color 9 is. I'll also add additional formatting codes that are available to the main post.
Why not making selections with worldedit, so to do that you could:
- read the same comands and act like him.
- read informations about worldedit like wecui does
- work with wecui
This mod was not created with that in mind. It's only purpose is to import schematics so you can rebuild them and to export parts of your (or servers') worlds. I will however add some commands, once I figure how i can hook the chat without interfering with anything else (Forge has an incoming, but not an outgoing message hook).
hi, every time i try to install schematica and ingame info using magic launcher i get no mods found.
iv tried placing them in mods folder into the jar but nothing works. can you give a step by step please.
That is normal. Just add the jar/zip into magic launcher and save. Magic launcher currently doesn't detect mods that use the Forge's new @Mod annotation.
Schematica
With this mod you're able to display a ghost image of a schematic file inside Minecraft to rebuild a structure or export any part of your world (or a server's world) into a schematic file.
Screenshots (mostly from pre-release testing; the transparent "structures" are imported schematic files)
How to
The mod is primarily controlled with 3 GUI's, accessed via the NUM_/ (load), NUM_* (save) and NUM_- (navigate loaded schematic) keys. You can change these to anything you want.
After the initial run the mod will create a schematics folder in your .minecraft folder. Put your schematic files into that folder and launch Minecraft. You are now able to load the schematics into your world using the load key and manipulate them with the manipulate key. Additional you can export parts of your map by using the save key. Witht eh help of this GUI you select 2 points in your world and click enable (you can enable is before, but the default position is at 0,0,0 for both points). When you're happy with the selected area just click write down the name into the textbox and click save.
Configuration
The config file fill be created after you run Minecraft at least once with the mod installed. The config file is located int the .minecraft/config folder. In the config file you can change the following values:
Alpha value for rendering (0.0 - 1.0; the lower the number the harder you'll see the blocks)
Render distance

Monster Spawn Highlighter
The name basically says it all. The mod will highlight any blocks where monsters can spawn.
Configuration
The config file fill be created after you run Minecraft at least once with the mod installed. The config file is located int the .minecraft/config folder. In the config file you can change the following values:
Color of blocks where animals can spawn at day (green), creatures can spawn at night (blue) or any monster can spawn at any time (red)
Rendering range (how many blocks it checks in each direction)
Rendering speed in ticks (lower is faster)
Enable/disable the the check of monster spawns
When you're on a slower computer keep the rendering range low and rendering speed high (30 should update twice a second, 1 should update 60 times a second).
The key that turns rendering on/off can be set in the Minecraft key-binding settings.

Stackie
It will group all items of the same type and and experience orbs into stacks of maximum size. For example: 6 towers, 64 high of sand will give you 384 entities. With this mod I ended up with only 15. Cool, eh?
Configuration
The config file fill be created after you run Minecraft at least once with the mod installed. The config file is located int the .minecraft/config folder. In the config file you can change the following values:
The delay in ticks (20 ticks = 1 second) that will pass between stacking attempts. If Minecraft runs fine you can lower the value, if it starts lagging you'll want to increase the value.
The stacking range, which can be set anywhere from one percent length of a block up to 10 blocks length. The default is 0.75 blocks which in my testings was just fine.

Install Forge (forum, jenkins server with the latest versions - builds with a star are recommended)
Start Minecraft and exit it (this will create the mods folder for you)
Open the .minecraft/mods folder
Copy/Move/Paste the zip file into the folder

With this mod is it possible to view worldEdit schematics while on server so you dont have to guess where to paste the schematic? Also would this work in single player without having to use its own block selection, use world edits wand or /pos1 /pos2 instead?
do i put the zip and jar in the mods folder or just one in mods 1 in bin. also do i need the source zip?
You only need one file, the zip or the jar. I'm only putting up both because some people prefer jars, while others prefer zips. The sources aren't needed to use the mods, they are just there in case anyone wants to check the sources.

Schematica is NOT an extension for WorldEdit. It was created mainly to be able to export structures on servers (or your own world) and import a ghost image of the structure in one of your worlds (or even another server) for you to easily rebuild it. It is a pure client only mod and does not communicate with a server. I do plan to add some sort of commands to make it more comfortable for people using WorldEdit.
While the WorldEdit topic is still on, I've been talking to maximumtech on IRC (UnknownCoder) and he's apparently working on a completely new WorldEdit mod, which can be found here.
Edit: it probably came over wrong. What I was trying to say is that I'll try to keep it as legit as possible, but features such a WE-like commands will be definitely added once I figure out how to process them before they're sent to the server.

Sorry for the newb question, but where do I put the .xml file with the format that I want to use? I tried replacing the .xml in the .zip (using MagicLauncher, selected "manage" for your external mod, drilled down into the .zip to find the.xml in the /assets folder) but I still get the default information instead of my version.

The file in the zip folder is the default file that's installed on first use. The file you're looking for is located in your .minecraft/config file.

It's really tricky, I'm working hard on making it compatible with "???". I'll keep you updated though!
