Hey guys, I made a post about my question ( http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/mods-discussion/2272055-pixelmon-leveling-zones ) but I decided I'd ask it here. If you don't want to look at the thread, the TL;DR (too long didn't read) is there any way to make a specific area only spawn certain level of Pokemon? Example, I move the spawn zone to a custom-made town, and want to make it the level 1-10 area for newbies. Is that possible? If so, how can I make it work?
Because as it stands, we had a Jigglytuff walking around our, 'safe zone' challenging us constantly. A much higher level one then our Pokemon, too. So we were getting brutally beaten after we revived all our Pokemon in the Pokecenter.
Yes and there are plenty of servers which do this. What you do is disable spawning in the config, there are a few ways to do this but easiest is just delete the entries in the spawn dimensions tag. Then you place pixelmon spawners around which let you set level spread and types of pokemon to spawn in an area
We've now taken it one further step beyond obj and are using smds to animate those objects with proper mesh distortion
Honestly, I don't really like that since it just looks too out of place compaired to the real minecraft..

We did consult the community at various points with this and overwhelmingly people preferred the new system. However you can turn off the smooth shading in the config which does make things look a little worse (ie minecrafty)

I don't see why they like something that looks unfitting, and I don't think it'll effect the models themselves.

Well you see, something looking unfitting is all a matter of opinion and they had a different one to yours. I share their opinion too, I far prefer the pokemon looking as good as possible and to me it doesn't appear to not fit in with the world

that and a lot of the new models are less intensive on people's crappy computers than all those cubemaps from techne models

i would just like a yes or no response and if no a reason

You come off in both your posts as believing you deserve an answer because you are special in some way, this is a put off to many people.
I can't speak as to why you've not been answered yet but you've only waited two days. They are dealing with a rather large mod and might not have time to answer every question. Also, this is not the first, nor is it the last time someone is going to ask about this exact same thing. If you really need this added to game, there are mods that add in pokemarts, bikes, bags, etc. Use one of those.
Which would you rather have, more Pokemon or months spent developing a currency, mart and shopping system?
This idea of "yours" is rather poorly put together, if you want them to actually consider putting this in, give them a reason. Explain the reasons for it, how it improves the overall mod and how it will benefit the future of the mod. How might it work, etc.

It's not going to help much to have you say that, I'd expect a retaliation and an argument if I were you. Good intentions I understand, but might not be helping.
guys plaese consider this idea for your mod and give me a yes or no answer
pokemarts
you get money form sellng your pokemon items in the shop and you get money from killing pixelmon
you edit the pokecenter's spawn to add in a pokemart right next to itor you can add it inside it
like i said if you read this pixelmon creators thank you for considering this and please leave a yes or no answer
It is our intention to get onto that eventually, towns and all that. There's no doubt it'll eventually get in, but we prioritise. There are mods that can be packed onto servers presently that do the same general thing, just not as fancily. Differently to the guy above, we don't actually just focus on adding Pokemon. We're a team. I work on battles, Zee works on animating and (I think) adding Pokemon, MrM does whatever he wants, etc. Breeding has been important recently, but Pokemarts will definitely be added when it's gotten around to, have no fear. Patience will have to be adopted with this.
