You can re-enable them by going to your /minecraft/config folder and in Pixelmon.cfg and turning "allow vanilla mobs" to "true"
Apparently, this crash happens when it shows the GUI for the starter Pokemon. If you can't use NEI, use TMI (TooManyItems). Trust me, it's better.
yes true but i want this cuz it shows you how to craft stuff i dont like to cheat but idk the recipeas is there another mod that shows you recipies that you might think it would work with (TooManyItems)
go into .minecraft/config/pixlemon (open with notepad or similar) scroll down to general and change ' Check for database updates ' to false save your changes and then re-install the mods and database folder.
This should work
-Danny
Actually this issue has been resolved.
Change your updating database option back to TRUE. Then try restarting the game. If it still crashes, get a fresh download of the mod, and just copy the /database folder over to start with a fresh copy of the database, then it should automatically update to the most recent version.

Probably because i'm using magic launcher,or maybe because I have 8 mods? Can someone tell me what's wrong? Or maybe give me instructions on how to install it with magic launcher or the mods Pixelmon is not compatible with?
Alright guys, quick thing.
I've been looking for fossils for a while now, staying between levels 20-50, and digging gravel pits like they said to on the wiki. I swear, by now I've dug up at least 100 gravel pits and I have not found a single fossil... Why are they so rare!?
i have found a bug that maybe u have seen but i think would be wise to take care of... i was battling a trainer and fell in water where i then drown, i found that the pokemon were still in battle and the side thing (where u can view ur pokemon) was gone. finally i killed the trainer, and pushed my pokemon away far enough that the other pokemon had de-spawned then returned the pokem and found that the side thing was still gone. i hope you can help

Pixelmon is temporarily incompatible with Optifine (they need to add support for the new forge utility that renders the Evolution rocks. Just uninstall it and you should be fine, none of your other mods have any issues.

It is definitely a challenge to find them. My technique is to explore cave systems in that range, especially gorges/crevasses and look for fallen gravel, then check the wall above it. They should occur every couple chunks, but it definitely makes them rare. Having a fossil pokemon on your team is about the same status rarity as a legendary.

i restarted my game and everything is back to normal... for now
The drowning death while battling has been fixed for the next version, and the missing party GUI is just a result of the GUI not getting refreshed at the end of the battle since your death didn't let the battle actually finish.
For now, if this ever occurs, just restarting your game (or simply exiting and rejoining the world) should get it to re-initialize.
it hasn't been resolves as it is still effecting people. So shh. My point and fix still stands and it works. All you need to donis update the database manulally.
It HAS been fixed, since MrM personally restored the database that gets downloaded to its fully-functioning condition. Anyone still having these issues is just missing the latest update of the database, which may not auto-update if their current version is corrupt, so they just need to get a fresh copy.
The issue with your fix is it only works temporarily, since the database does get updated and they will have issues with future releases when they are missing the new database data. If they download a fresh copy of the database now - here is a link directly to just the database https://www.sugarsyn...60907261_005690 - (which goes into the /database folder) and make sure that they have updates on, it will work perfectly fine.
yes true but i want this cuz it shows you how to craft stuff i dont like to cheat but idk the recipeas is there another mod that shows you recipies that you might think it would work with (TooManyItems)
If you want craft recipes, use the Recipe Book Mod, or the Crafting Guide mod, I recommend the Crafting Guide mod.

4) Using WinRAR or similar, copy all of the files from Forge into the minecraft.jar file, and ACCEPT any prompts WinRAR gives
5) Go to your .minecraft folder and copy all the files from the Pixelmon (2.2.1).zip into the folder NOTE: Do not copy it into the /mods folder, but the main .minecraft folder, as the install has some other folders it has to install, and it has the /mods folder as part of the .zip file
6) Still in the .minecraft folder, copy all the files from the Pixelmon Resources.zip folder into your main .minecraft folder.
7) Launch the game and enjoy!
And if you have any questions on how to play the game and craft items, feel free to check out my Pixelmon Youtube series (linked in my signature), as we start from scratch and cover the basics as we go.
well it hasn't been fixed then as it needs an external file fix.your point is invalid as my way works. Hush now child.
Sigh. I try to be helpful and not get into arguments with others on forums, since it never really helps anything, but in this case I must make an exception as your "fix" will actually break their game come the next change to the game.
So let me start by saying YOUR FIX IS NOT HELPFUL ANYMOREDO NOT FOLLOW IT OR RECOMMEND IT.
1) I WAS proposing the same changes yesterday when the temporary fix was necessary, but it was just a TEMPORARY fix, and now that the issue is resolved on the mod side, the TEMPORARY fix needs to be reverted back to ensure that the game continues to get needed updates to the database file. Your way works only for right now, but will end up causing more problems for EVERYONE who follows it from this point on than it solves. Fixing the game THE CORRECT WAY will ensure they don't have further problems.
2) The external file fix is just to save them the trouble of re-downloading the entire mod, since they only need one file, and due to the same corruption at the source of the problem, this file might not auto update (PLUS - saying to redownload the mod accomplishes the SAME RESULT, just with longer download time)
3) I have helped submit code to this mod, fully understand the code that cause this issue, and have personally confirmed that the issue is solved with Mr.M, the creator of the mod, so I know what I am talking about, so you hush now. I realize you are trying to help, but it is not the correct solution anymore.
ill check back in every other day to see if any one answered

Wow... Did you SERIOUSLY create an account just to say ONE word? Lol. Just lol.
But now to what I was actually going to say... I can't seem to find any vanilla Minecraft mobs, does this mod disable them? If it does, then that sucks =(
You can re-enable them by going to your /minecraft/config folder and in Pixelmon.cfg and turning "allow vanilla mobs" to "true"
Actually this issue has been resolved.
Change your updating database option back to TRUE. Then try restarting the game. If it still crashes, get a fresh download of the mod, and just copy the /database folder over to start with a fresh copy of the database, then it should automatically update to the most recent version.

--- END ERROR REPORT ef981c73 ----------
Probably because i'm using magic launcher,or maybe because I have 8 mods? Can someone tell me what's wrong? Or maybe give me instructions on how to install it with magic launcher or the mods Pixelmon is not compatible with?
I've been looking for fossils for a while now, staying between levels 20-50, and digging gravel pits like they said to on the wiki. I swear, by now I've dug up at least 100 gravel pits and I have not found a single fossil... Why are they so rare!?
-NigelSBaldwin2i restarted my game and everything is back to normal... for now
Pixelmon is temporarily incompatible with Optifine (they need to add support for the new forge utility that renders the Evolution rocks.
If you want craft recipes, use the Recipe Book Mod, or the Crafting Guide mod, I recommend the Crafting Guide mod.

Here are the instructions (spoilered for anyone who has read them 1000 times already)
Installation is pretty simple:
1) Download a minecraft.jar file from the minecraft site
2) Download the Pixelmon (2.2.1).zip (http://adf.ly/PSqhm or http://adfoc.us/7513724589414) and Pixelmon Resoures.zip files (http://adf.ly/QFh8X or http://adfoc.us/7513724609580)
3) Download the latest version of forge (you want the UNIVERSAL* version) - http://files.minecraftforge.net/

Sigh. I try to be helpful and not get into arguments with others on forums, since it never really helps anything, but in this case I must make an exception as your "fix" will actually break their game come the next change to the game.
So let me start by saying YOUR FIX IS NOT HELPFUL ANYMORE DO NOT FOLLOW IT OR RECOMMEND IT.
