Radioactive Waste is loading into a biogas engine as mushroom soup, same as the liquid peat does. Hopefully the next Forestry update fixes that.
So, just to check my math here...8 MJ/t times 200000 ticks is 1.6 million MJs over a time of about 2 3/4 hours for a single bucket of radioactive waste, yes? You weren't kidding about it being kind of ridiculous.
PfF1 was 10 MJ/t for 70000 ticks (700000 MJs total over a time of about an hour).
Maybe something in between, like 8 MJ/t over 125000 ticks (1 million MJ over a time of 1 1/2 hours)
Forestry problem. I already fixed it in Forestry's source and sent it to Sengir.
I'd rather start at 'ridiculously overpowered' and work my way backwards. I tried to make it equivalent to what you would get in this setup with the same amount of Uranium:
I'll probably take it down by something between 20 and 40 percent after the balance pass.
I cant seem to see any labels on the folders and files on the wiki/dropbox, and there for cant download the denlib or the mod.... Really liked this mod and want to put it in my game with everything else im using. How do fix this problem or is there a secondary link for downloading this?
Okay, had a crash running radioactive waste in a biogas engine. I can fill the engine with waste and lava. I can run the engine fine. If I exit minecraft and reload it, I find the engine stalled. If I access the engine with a right-click, I crash.
It seems that the biogas engine doesn't retain any fuel of any kind when the chuck is unloaded. I loaded it with biofuel, logged out and back in and the fuel was empty, but I didn't crash. Same with mushroom soup, no crash but empty tank. Radioactive waste makes me crash thou.
EDIT: Okay, just read the 25 December post on the Forestry thread about the biogas engines being broken. But still I still think this post is relevant due to the crash with radioactive waste.

I downloaded the Plugins for forestry complete build. I don't see much on the wiki so I hope I got the correct one. Where can O get more information regarding this mod as looks interesting and has the blessing of the man himself. Win Win in my book.

The wiki isn't made yet. I just need to find the time to sit down and write things up.
As for what to install: The complete build has everything and requires every mod that PfF can interact with (Currently: Forestry, BuildCraft, Railcraft, Ic2, Redpower, and Thaumcraft). If you don't have all of the mods you can mix and match components by downloading Core and any combination of plugins.
Radioactive waste has been re-balanced. (remove the lines in the config with the game closed to get new ones.)
pluginBuildcraft now adds "Heavy Water". Make it in the Refinery with normal water and use it to cool combustion engines.
All PfF fuels are now valid for the BC combustion engine. This is temporary until Sengir releases a fixed version of Forestry.
All PfF fuels are now valid for the Railcraft Liquid Firebox. Values are calculated via a conversion rate in the config file.
Filled Wooden Buckets can no longer be stacked.
Energy Storage Kits work properly again.
I suggest anyone using PfF2 right now go download Thermal Expansion if you haven't already. All PfF recipes have TE alternatives, and TE machines work properly with my liquids so you can use them instead while waiting for Forestry.
(Potential bug: If the wiki message displays more than once you might need to load a single player world and let it display for it to stick, sorry about that) Build 17 addresses this.

Is this the same heavy water from Advanced Power Systems which is also made in a refinery and used to power fusion generators. If refine water, who's heavy water am I going to get?
EDIT: Looks like I'm getting the APS heavy water out of my refineries since I can run a fusion generator on it.

Forge has a liquid dictionary now right? Unless I'm mistaken, both heavy waters could be used.

thanks for the reply. I have all those mods so now I will go and play with your goodness.

Well that was really my question, if this is equivalent heavy water. I asked it in an awkward way.
Forge Liquid Dictionary makes them equivalent. To test that theory try to put APS heavy water in a barrel. LR yields to any pre-existing liquid before doing registration.

Eventually. I need to figure out how to calculate reasonable values.
I laughed way too hard at this.
I'm not seeing it in the latest PfF2 config.
It is in the LiquidRoundup config file.
I know.
I have an alternative plan in the meantime that should make my fuels usable for at least those with BC.
Do you happen to know when Sengir is willing to implement that biogas engine fix you made to the source?
In the next major release (the one with tree breeding). It is in closed beta right now.
Awesome, can't wait. In the meantime, heres a picture of the mushroom soup from squeezing sulfur, currently a place of honor inside my base.
this picture is full of WIN.

erm, that sounded more weird than I intended.
Btw, tried all of the other ores---they still work.

Cannot confirm. Pulverizing obsidian gives me dust as usual. Do you have GregTech installed? Maybe he decided to interfere with TE too.
