This mod will change the ore generation ingame, Ores will generate less in block form in the map(to reduce productivity of branch/strip mining. and adds new ore generations that occur in caves and on stone faces.
These take time to break but will yield more ores. increasing loot per cavern but at a bit slower.
This mod is just a random idea that probably hasnt been done before, but it gives those cowards more incentive to mine in caves.

this mod isn't open source, but if you want to decompile it, go ahead. also if your working on an ore mod, you can use these scripts to add your own cave ores.
So don't worry about copyrights, this doesnt matter much.
You should label the screenshots, as what type of ore they are (replacing). On the last image I see vanilla coal blocks next to what I assume is Lapis. Did you not make a custom block for coal? The blocks don't look like squids to me, it is crystal formations I guess, but either way you should refine the shapes and textures a bit more. The last one looks the best (imo), perhaps make the others a bit smaller or at least have less shards pointing every which way.
Looks good so far, keep it up!

Instant customizable buildings, to fill your empty world.
yeh some models, mainly diamond, redstone and iron could be abit overdone. The blocks don't replace the "vanilla" blocks, their just reduced, so you can still find things from digging, its just more rewarding in caves
and the only one that looks like a squid is the diamond one, that itself has a small rotation problem
NOTCH GET MINECRAFT ORES LIKE THIS XD
I love this mod XD i just with that the old ores could be removed completely
so these awesome ores take there place.
can that be done? that you only have these ores in the map? :3
That was my initial idea to get rid of the old ores entirely, but i kept them(just at lower frequencies) since in reality ores occur anywher
Great! Just put more time for the textures/models, they look weird!
Yeh i didnt put time into anything really, this is just a sidetrack im on(since im already on a mod project) but though some models could use to be without the crystal formations, theyd look better with an actual texture(not a quick thing)

just like any other mod, shove it in the jar. didnt think people had to ask that question anymore
