The only downside is the zombie mode does not work online (well it doesn't for me). If I put "zombies=true" in the server properties the game just runs as normal. If I put "creepers=true" then it works as the apocalypse mode and lets you have a creeper apocalypse server. It would be nice if the zombie apocalypse worked online as well.
Fixed. Just redownload and install the SMP mod and it should work.
Question: Me and my friend played zombie apocalypse and he reset the time to 0 when it started. The game appeared to not like that so now we have eternal morning. Fix?
I restarted the server and it started working again.

Yeah, the mod is set so that once it goes beyond 19000 it snaps back to 18000 (1am back to midnight). So if you set the time to something else while in that mode, I'm unsure how it will react. Thanks for letting me know though.
HI the mod works great online with the zombies mode and the creepers mode now. Thank you
I don't know if you knew or not but cave spiders still spawn in the NPC mines. I don't know if they spawn in the online version but on single player the cave spiders still spawn.
What if you play with this mod and find spider / skeleton spawner? Will it spawn them?
The only thing I edited was the natural spawning of monsters in dark areas. Since I believe minecraft has other methods of spawning (i.e. monster spawners, and areas designed as spawners), then it is quite possible that other monsters will spawn in those areas.
Does this need to be installed with winrar? if is, make it compatible with mcpacther. does not work, with mcpatcher.
Looking at mcpatcher, it looks like it should be compatible with it, but it might not be because of the changes to the minecraft.class file in the net folder. Not sure it installs in folders like that. A manual install is always preferred so that there is no worrying whether a change to modloader or mcpatcher will screw up the mod. So if you can't get it working with mcpatcher, you can try modloader, or a manual install.
not working, put on zombie apocalypse mode and was simply playing hardcore mode. (saw more creepers than zombies, night wasn't eternal)
Then it wasn't installed correctly. For manual install, remember that the files inside the 'net' and 'lang' folders need to be copied directly into the subfolders, do not replace any folders. Also, make sure you're installing in 1.2.5. Let me know if that doesn't work.
did that, but i think it was something with forge, you know for first i had black screen, till i reinstalled forge
Oh... usually anytime you install multiple mods that use the same files, the one you installed first will break.
I suspect that you installed the minecraft.class file incorrectly at first from the apocalypse mod, and that's how you got the black screen (or you already had forge installed, that could cause it too). Then when you installed the forge mod, it replaced those files (probably the entire net folder) and made the game work, but my mod break. So yeah, interlacing mods usually result in errors like that.
Try installing it vanilla, and make sure you go all the way into net/minecraft/client/minecraft.class and copy that file directly into net/minecraft/client/
I spent 30 minutes downloading all the components for Flan's Gun Mods and the Modern Weapons Plus Packs just to enjoy this mod. Thank you for this great mod.
my game crashes when i put a torch down even in my normal worlds whats going on the isn't an error code coming up either so i cant paste here i don't if it is something simple or not can someone help me i wanna play this so badly but i want to place torches also (its a basic minecraft right)
You're installing this in a vanilla minecraft jar right? Vanilla meaning you force updated your minecraft to 1.2.5 and there are no added mods. The torches glitch doesn't make sense to me because I didn't mess with any torch or light code. Retry a clean install and makes sure to install the 'minecraft.class' file properly and the 'lang' files properly.
oh well final question then im done. how did you change the spawn rate of mobs. i have been making little mods for myself and i was just wondering.
That was actually the most confusing part to try to figure out. If you use MCP (minecaft coder pack) look for the .java file named "SpawnerAnimals.java". That has all the spawn code (you'll have to look for the math), and another file called "Enumerator-"somethin' that controls the limit on the number of possible mobs per mob type. I know that monsters usually have a limit of 70, and non-hostiles and others have a smaller limit.
I installed everything according to direction and it still does not work. I have npc cloner mod and modloader.
If you have modloader, then try using modloader to install it in the mods folder. If that doesn't work, then there's a conflict with the npc cloner mod, so you can only really have one of those mods on at a time. Having multiple mods on at a time can easily result in many conflicts, so see different methods of install, and checking for file conflicts.

Cool, lemme know if I need to fix anything.
I restarted the server and it started working again.
Bring it on!

Come back if you have any problems.

Is it a bug?
Minecraft is not crashing, the mod just has no effect.
Make sure that you're installing into the bin/minecraft.jar that is being used by your minecraft.
Awesome
