Twilight forest is the mod that is crashing you, not exactly sure why but it is not More Swords, it may be a compatibility issue why don't you try running twilight forest and more swords together without other mods and see if that works.

Probably an enchantment id conflict. Ids can be configured in the configuration files for the respective mods. Enchantment id's can be between 0-255 although some of those are used by Mojang. No two enchantments can have the same id.

The mod is already updated to 1.8, although as discussed on this page previously I am holding off on a release until forge releases a stable 1.8 update. If you would like a 1.8 version early you can compile the source code posted on the repo. The reason why I am waiting for a stable release, is because there is no need to rush an update, so I would rather use all of this time to work on new content and fixing issues. If a stable release is not published soon I will likely update anyhow.
As for the sword idea you posted, it's not balanced, and does not fit my format for new swords. I already have a dragon themed sword so there is no need for another. I am also not interested in using the dragon egg in my crafting recipes.
