easiest way is to:
1 - Go get Minecraft Forge, download the installer (not the universal, source, etc. the installer) for 1.6.1.

2 - Run the installer

3 - Open the Minecraft launcher, select the Forge profile and click the Edit button

4 - Change the game directory from the default %appdata%/.minecraft to %appdata%/.minecraft/versions/{forge version installed}

5 - Log in and run Minecraft (fill in credentials, hit play button)

6 - Verifiy that Forge has loaded, you will see the splash screen with Single Player/Multi-player, and look in the lower left to make sure you have Forge, MCP, etc. listed. You should have 3 mods at this point.

7 - Quit Minecraft

8 - Copy BSpkr's Core and ArmorStatusHud to the %appdata%/.minecraft/versions/{forge version}/mods folder

9 - Go back to the launcher and click play.

10 - You should have a version-safe copy of Minecraft Forge with the mods you want installed.

I cannot guarantee that Minecraft will not crash since some people tend to program with hardcoded paths, but if everything works out, you can dump your 1.6.1 Forge mods in the above folder for them to work. With 1.6.x, coremods go in the mods folder as well.

It's been said before: Go into your config folder, find ArmorStatusHUD.cfg (or similar). Open it up with a text editor and change the align mode to bottomright instead of bottomleft.

Same here, but again, I know most modders have real life and sometimes they don't have time to port things really quickly, but definitively I'm also waiting for this one in 1.6.2...

1.6.2 running minecraft through magic launcher, only modloader installed
zan's minimap runs fine
Can get into game with armor status, bskpr core, and status effect installed, but if i drink a potion or a hold an item the game crashes.

Works fine with 1.6.2 forge.

I use ModLoader, and MagicLauncher. I put Modloader at the top, then I got some other mods like Rei's, TMI and Optifine, then I added your mods to the main list. It won't load mods in .minecraft/mods/ for some reason. It does load from .minecraft/versions/1.6.2/mods/ but nothing appears ingame.
They still do not load ingame however, so I have no idea what to do really.

I will not use Forge, the OP sais I can use modloader and I've used modloader before.

Is not working for me, it crashes when i try to play in a world or server.

adfly won't let me download Status Effect hud .....

Can someone make a guide (video or text, whatever is fine) to installing the mod WITHOUT forge? Like with magic launcher or something. I still dont get why minecraft changed the way you install mods >

Hello, I have installed Core, Armorstatus, and status effects.
The game starts fine, but when I equip armor / use potion, the effects do not show at all.

I have all of this but not rei's and it doesn't work for me either... I put the .zips in the mods folder... Not working. Is it not compatable with ModLoader?

looks like. i was about to complain here as well but then i just learned in the dynamic lights topic (didn't work for me as well) that the current version of magic launcher is to blame. i used the forge installer to create a forge profile in the usual minecraft launcher and now both mods work.

Does this mod work with Optifine 1.6.2? Cause When I install it, it crashes
