According to your log, several mods (Extrabiomes included) have been incorrectly installed into the minecraft jar. Ironically, some mod (one that is supposed to be installed in the jar) has altered the Block class and removed a method required by Minecraft Forge and forge mods.

No doubt, but when you do something other than what is described in the instructions, it makes it difficult for us to support. In similar circumstances, I revert to the instructions before asking for help.
In any case, the cause of your issue is that one of the mods that must be installed in the jar is not compatible with Forge and overwrite a class that is changed by Forge.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?

Just looking at it though you have an older version of forge...and if you are using our 3.6.0 version of EBXL, also per the OP: Requires Forge 6.4.1.411 and higher, which can be found here.

Actually, I can definitely say that some mods, like SimpleOres, didn't work if installed in the jar as early as 1.2.5. Make sure to read the install instructions and put your mods where the instructions say to put them.

I'm not certain, but I think its an issue with ExtrabiomesXL rather than MLG. Can anyone shed some light?
From what I gather, MLG is hanging because of an issue finding/using some of the trees in EBXL. My .jar works fine in my normal server.
Please see the post directly above yours regarding the type of log we need to be able to provide support. You also might want to update your EBXL to the 3.6.0 version since you are using the latest version of forge.

According to your log, the game is getting a server tick error while trying to generate vanilla trees.
This is vanilla code crashing, not modded code...so nothing to do with Extrabiomes.
Tick errors are normally caused when the system is so overtaxed that is cannot keep up with the game.
Given the way that the Land Generator works, it is pretty obvious that it is overtaxing your system.
I installed everything correctly (quite a few things were wrong), but still get a crash whenever I try to break a tree. As it turns out, it only happens on EXBL trees. I can break normal trees and any wood block I place. Here is the full report

Long time gamer but I have never tried mods til now. I had been playing around with some texture packs and ran across this mod. Installed Forge and ExtraBiomes XL and I am having a crash issue. I'd like to get some guidance because the mod looks really good. . . up to the crash. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Thanks for the feedback. Anything I can do for that besides buying a new pc? It is kinda outdated. I have had it for maybe 4-5 years. I have replaced the harddrive (old one died) and put a new graphics card in it.

1.Just checking this also means Thaumaturgy3 ores? (apparently you get shards from ores?)
2. I take it copper is spawning because of a forestry addon?? If so and I dont want to load up forestry (too mechanical rather than fantastical for my currnet dream world I think) can I disable the spawning of these ores and how. I would like to have only things I use in my world.
And lastly, thanks very much for this wonderful mod! I have been lurking for a while, playing vannilla minecraft for 2-3 months and loaded up some mods for the first time 2 days ago, new to modding minecraft.
