If it were simple ID conflicts then you could change them in the config....but you have way more issues than ID conflicts. Basically all the mods are kicking out errors. I've not used Direwolf's mod pack before, but it looks like it isn't installed correctly.
I've been trying to get ExtraBiomesXL to run for the last half hour with no success.
I have Minecraft 1.4.6 and the latest Forge (version 6.5.0.481). The only other mod onboard at the moment is NEI (NotEnoughItems). I have ExtraBiomesXL in the Mods folder, where it should be according to the installation instructions.

Is there any way to adjust the probability of biomes generating? I find that I can go through 25 or 50 worlds and never see, for example, Mountain Ridge.

No, unfortunately there isn't at the moment as they go into a "pool" of available biomes (along with vanilla biomes) as MC generates your world. You can turn biomes off or on, but that is pretty much it.
I love this mod but are there any plans to allow the IC2 Terraformer to work with biomes such as those that have cracked sand? We currently have a Terraformer we'd like to use in one of these biomes but it doesn't seem to be able to alter the landscape. The only information I could find to do with this was in this thread: http://forum.industr...d&threadID=7526.
I've found a bug concerning disappearing leaves of tall trees: The leave vanishing spreads like a chain effect. An "infected" tree propagates the vanishing state over the whole forest.
In pastebin there is my fixed version for the source File BlockGreenLeaves.java:

The latest recommended (stable) version of forge is 471. If you use anything beyond the latest stable version, all bets are off.
Is there any way to adjust the probability of biomes generating? I find that I can go through 25 or 50 worlds and never see, for example, Mountain Ridge.
Yes. If you disable some biomes, the others become more likely to appear.
I've found a bug concerning disappearing leaves of tall trees: The leave vanishing spreads like a chain effect. An "infected" tree propagates the vanishing state over the whole forest.
In pastebin there is my fixed version for the source File BlockGreenLeaves.java:
At line 53, I forgot to replace 14 with "rangeWood*2". It's the manhattan distance from center to corner of the tested area.
What is happening is the tree is using vanilla values to determine leaf decay. The thing is, when the mod generates, the leaves don't update until SOMETHING happens to one of them. Then they update, and realize that something is wrong for them to stay there. Chain reaction starts up as more and more realize they are invalid, in more and more trees, as more and more block updates occur. This is why it chain reacts though the entire forest usually, because a good 30% of the leaves inside the forest are invalid by vanilla standards.

You could get "Mystcraft", and then have full control over which biomes you see in which worlds you visit.

Whha? I thought that leaf blocks took normal block ticks, and when ticked took a look around, to see if they were ticked off or not.
I think it was 1.3.2 when I last flew around a vanilla jungle, did nothing to the blocks, and just watched the leafs go poof all over the place.
Mmhh, well i don't know if this is a known bug, but if you generate a world without ExtraBiomesXL installed, then install ExtraBiomesXL (3.7.0A), the chunk you were in when you closed minecraft will get reset, and usually get a completely different biome as it would be if you'd have generated the world with ExtraBiomesXL in the first place, it happens every time you close minecraft until you either get to new chunks or make a new world. Good thing i kept backups though!
Odd. New chunks should not generate where you are, but only at the "edge of known space" as it were.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?

There is something else going on. Extrabiomes does not affect the chunk generation or saving system.
Seem to be running into an odd error... server is throwing Sevear NBT errors, and all the jungle trees are... gone... there's shadows where they should be, and mushrooms that were growing on the leaves are still there... can fly right through em...
I'm trying to install minecraft forge, so I downloaded it and copied all of the files in it to the minecraft.jar and deleted META.INF. However, whenever I try to load minecraft, it gets stuck on the loading page. It says "Done loading", but the bar isn't full and it won't move at all.

Since it is forge you are having trouble installing, you really should post that in the Forge forums to get support for that.
Hi! I have experience a malfunction of loading chuncks..
I tried everything that i could do to solve this issue... in the server that i have created, when i generate new map ( by creating a world file or walking in the world)
certain area will appear to be bugged...
other players(my friend) have no this kind of issues..only i did which is really strange..

You can edit the config in treecapitator to include specific wood. It's what we use on our server.
if you install forge with the patcher it works just fine. if you install manually before or after patching it does not.

Well crud.
Thanks for the help.
Tried both of these, while they both worked, my fps was down to below 10, so that's a no go.
Thanks for the suggestions though.

Awesome idea, I do like the terraformer.
