Hi i have a little problem here, so I did exactly as you instructed, installed modloader, the forge, gui api ....
I login to minecraft as usual, start a new world normally, no error ocurred. But then in the new world i just created i dont see any mo creatures' mob spawning.I need help ASAP i made an account just to ask for this mod please help me
OK, I'VE NARROWED IT DOWN!!!!
The problem with Custom Mob Spawner NOT being detectable has SOMETHING TO DO with Minecraft Forge 3.25.
I downgraded to Minecraft 3.12 for Minecraft 1.2.5 and Custom Mob Spawners is detected AUTOMATICALLY.
The Minecraft Forge team needs to be notified of this problem, but until then, DOWNGRADE TO Forge 3.12 for 1.2.5 and it will work PERFECTLY FINE!

Good find. I think this has to do with the way FML (Forge Mod Loader) handles things. Your older version of forge works because older versions of forge depended on Modloader to load both it and other mods. The newer versions of forge incorporate Modloader functionality. It would seem they are doing something different from the old format, and a few mods are not working. I think this is the problem based on the FML log, which says
2012-06-18 08:51:18 [FINE] Found a zip or jar file CustomMobSpawner 1.4.3.zip, attempting to load it
2012-06-18 08:51:18 [INFO] File CustomMobSpawner 1.4.3.zip contained no mods
Whomever is maintaining this Custom Mob Spawner simply needs to change the name to mod_CustomerSpawner.java and recompile it after changing any CustomSpawner calls to mod_CustomSpawner instead. The end result should be mod_CustomSpawner.class inside a zip file. This will enable the most up to date version of Forge to detect it.
This will also allow MagicLauncher to see the mod.
So on Mo' Creatures, I have installed everything correctly and all the mobs show up as they are supposed to.
However, for some reason, I can't find the spawner block used to spawn the mobs (like it used to be found when in creative mode or something) but the new mobs work.
Is there something I might be missing as to why it is no longer in my creative mode inventory, or is that a new feature with the settings window you can simply select how many of a certain mob you want to spawn in place and hit 'spawn now', exit settings, and see them spawned right before you?
It's not being detected by forge either, so I am not sure if that's supposed to happen or not. Not detected by Magic Loader either.
Also as a separate issue, when I click on mo'creatures in the mods list, it says meta data not found and to email the mod owner for the mod.info file, but it still works. Is that supposed to happen?
you know you have to click on "Skip Ad" to get to the download.... its on the top right corner on the page...
the thingy you downloaded its commercial trash
I don't get the 'skip ad' thing. I only get a countdown for the ilivid installation. That's all.

It's better to ask a stupid question than not knowing the answer.

yeah but i find it a little bit of time wasting if your gonna delete the API afterwards for any sort of reason
Any one know any fixes for Magic Launcher not detecting (saying it has no mods in it) the mod?Never mind.

Magiclauncher isn't picking it up because it isn't named 'mod_*'.
