I noticed you have [SMP] in the thread title, yet you have "I will not code for Survival Multiplayer" in the opening post.
Perhaps it would be best to change that to [SSP]?
With the original mod, if you were to play on a server (and yes I know this is not smp) it would still try and use this, preventing you from being able to chant anything, and if you did try it would take the exp but not chant. Has that been fixed? Or do I have to make a back up jar -again- with out this if I want to play smp and still be able to chant things?
someone can make this for multiplayer? plug-in or vanilla, cuz it only takes your levels, and doesn't give you any enchant at all or just fix that in multiplayer the enchant is the normal one.

Im extremely sorry, I did not notice I put "SMP" and not "SSP". this is fixed.
fixed the creative bug, did not realize ssp creative enchanting done that. either way, its a great feature. You can enchant w/o having any experience in creative.
****.
..Not to be antsy, but could the original creator find his way into making this SMP compatible? :3
I honestly believe the original creator abandoned this mod. Please do not give your hopes up, but I am looking into a SMP compatible version, please remember I do not mod for SMP.
Could someone provide me with photo evidence of what happens in SMP when you try to use the mod? My computer does not do well on SMP.

There's nothing really to screenshot.
Your Enchanting GUI shows up, you pick the enchant and when you click on "Enchant", it just takes your Experience levels without enchanting the item.

and in the version of 1.1 the level cap is at 12 or 16 does not matter if you have 100 xp and all the bookshelves (but in the 1.2 there is not level cap so only takes your xp.)
Having read the whole thread, I think it's time for another "THANK YOU xkyouchoux FOR CONTINUING THIS MOD, EVEN THOUGH IT ISN'T YOUR CREATION ORIGINALLY!"
Just needed to get that out there. Also, looking forward to SMP (If you do happen to finish it)

I believe your saying the 1.1 version still has a level cap. If that is what your saying, then I say this:
Of course it does, if you want new features, you upgrade to the current version.
I really have no idea of the point your getting at with the sentence you said, but I will throw out some stuff for you:
In v. 1.1, the bookshelves would increase the level cap for the tools/weapons. You could not spend more levels than the level cap.
in v. 1.2, the level cap is gone, and enchantments have a raw value(Its pretty expensive for Efficiency V, Unbreaking III, and Fortune III, roughly 100 levels, on a pickaxe.), but the bookshelves reduce the cost of the enchantments(enchantment price = default price / (number of bookshelves / 34) + 1), so you get roughly half off with 34 bookshelves. The enchantments cost so much because you get to choose what you want without wasting levels like you would normally. It could cost you 5 times the amount of experience to get a powerful pickaxe in default enchanting, while it does take a bit longer to accumulate the levels, you are guaranteed good enchantments.
if it is so ^^ ... pleeeeease this mod for servers ... would be so awesome !
really appreciate your work ... its just impressive
yes and yes. I am attempting to get this mod work for servers, but I have no clue on how to mod for SMP. I really dont understand how the client interacts with the server, either.
By the way, this mod doesn't function with the infinite XP for enchanting given in Creative, so experience must be gained manually in both game modes to enchant. Just a minor annoyance.
Update your version, I have already released the fix for that, I wasnt aware you had infinite xp in creative before I updated to 1.2.3, but It is fixed now.
Perhaps it would be best to change that to [SSP]?

I have never experienced this problem, did you install it correctly?
The download links work, I tested them.
