I've made Risugami's Shelves mod (see http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/75440-/ ) compatible with multiplayer.

Prerequisites

• ModLoader ( http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/75440-/ )
• ModLoaderMP ( http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/182918-/#MLM )
• minecraft.jar WITHOUT SHELVES MOD (just to be safe)

Port to Bukkit
DV8FromTheWorld has ported this MLMP mod to work with Bukkit. It's available at his site: http://www.mcportcentral.co.za
If you want to try out a server, connect to 67.170.244.238:2556* (server not running) Please note that the server doesn't have any other MP mods.

Did you get his permission, if so this is a great mod. But I wont be downloading it.

Thanks for your concern about getting permission. I was talking extensively about it with him, I'll get a statment from him.

Seems fine then, he doesn't seem to care too much about porting and such.

For those of you failing to get on the server, note that the server has ONLY this MP mod.

Works like a charm on client, but can't place items (right click) on the shelf in multiplayer :sad.gif: (I do have forge installed).

Found the problem. It was a mod called XP sounds for mulitplayer, seems it cancels out the right click function to many SMP mods. @_@

On another note: Do you think you could port the armor stand and Death chest to SMP? Risumami has some great mods, just a shame they are multiplayer.

This is perfect I was actually looking for a SMP version of this specifically so many thanks to that. The only issue with this is that the displayed items disappear on a reconnect, but you can right click the shelf and exit out and it will pop up again, any way to resolve that to have it re-display on reconnect? Not sure if the SSP version does that.

Hm, maybe. But they might be a bit more work.
Also, death chest could be a serverside-only mod. Try plugins.bukkit.org

I installed this and when I make a shelf it shows it in the crafting table...then I take it out and get Disconnected from server

So whenever I start up my server, I can log on and actually make the shelf, but when I try to click it to put it in my inventory, I get Connection Lost: End of Stream. Am I just not putting files in the right place or something?

This looks amazing! Has anyone tested it out and knows if there are any other mod incompatibilities?
