using the sues atm but HOLY SHIZZLE, my brain got fried for a minute:
though while im using v10, water just stays.... water?
also large distance rendering is kinda buggy but meh, can live with that since v10's a preview.
also does anyone can tell me how to fix my water (to the reflecting stuff) and ender portal (freaky colorations) and is the nether portal supposed to stay normal?:
How did you get v10 and is it compatible with 1.3.1?
yeah, i figured out how to get the fancy dancy water, in the options for animations set water from dynamic to just on or off... though uhm yeah... its frigging pink/purplish.... magenta? but hey... it's finally fancy dancy...
ya its the v10 rc2 shaders. i might just go back t o v08 and deal with that shitty rain bug that turns off all my lights in caves... i also dont understand why v10 messes up with other texture packs when v08 worked perfectly fine with the LB texture pack.
playing with the water settings does nothing since the color remains the same. i think i will just go back to v08 untill someone gives me a solution or untill v10 is officially released.
switching to v10 seemed to have droped my FPS by 20 anyway for w/e reason......

v10 mess up with other texture packs because they are not edited.
On the other hand, here's another picture of RPG Photo Realism 512x with water.
so i fixed the lighting with the LB pack by following the instructions given to me by another poster, but i am now presented with a new problem........
ya... all of my weapons have white featurless textures like my sword there and the water is pitch black in some areas but bright in others. but im one step closer to making v10 as perfect as it should be atleast. any more suggestions?
edit: this is annoying. i fixed the water but i still have the white texture on held items and the block breaking animation is messed up. everytime i fix one problem 2 new problems rear there ugly heads...
I tried v10. Looks amazing but I had some problems and removed it.
I think a few mods, non-forge mods perhaps, use the block spaces in the terrain.png where the water is (next to the magenta water). Like it uses that block ID. So with v10, the water has the texture of a block from a mod. In my case, I have Glass Light mod installed and the water was the blue light block. If I removed it, the water probably would have looked like it was intended.
My other problem is ExtraBiomes crashes. I tried setting trees to fast and still crash so... kinda lame.
Items in your hands are white.
Ice with water under it looks like there are holes in the ice. You can still see the ice texture but it's even more opaque then normal. Or transparent.
I think I'll wait for an official release. Hopefully for 1.2.5. I don't have any plans to rush over to 1.3.1 any time soon.

This is what the installer keeps giving me. I've installed everything right, and tried multiple times re-reading all the instructions, but to no avail. Could anyone help me?
try fiddling with all the water settings... worked for me except color that is
it might be the 'mobility' part, this mod is not capable of running on mobile or integrated gpus
also try updating ALL your drivers, your catalyst control center etc...
and reinstall the mod after that and be sure to track and confirm youve done every step right.
as for me heres the water color:
its fabulously fancy dancy but id rather like my water the color of healthy water...
Takes a lot of patch and try to get it work correctly. If patch fails, check the log and see what failed, probably a missing class file or two, copy missing files on a new fresh modpack.jar and patch again.

Thanks dude, ill give it a try when i get home today.
Hey whats progress on this being ready for 1.3.1 for nvidia cards..is it close to finished/. im dieing to get it on my minecraft now i always played with it
the brightness becomes blinding in daytime even on moody... anyway to fix this?
the sues texturepack is even worse, that pack gives me this purple static water and the light levels arnt much better.
edit:
actually the light levels are much better, but im still getting this nasty water with the sues pack
its all purple and such

@Pirate_Ray, he's not using wrong texture pack.
You need to take all the lightmaps from environment folder in SEUS pack and place them in your texture pack.

These forums are dumb and break my links. I'm bubbleawsome on steam too.
is it possible to do that with the water shader as well? because id like to use the water in the v10 shaders and replace the ones in the LB pack.

Sapphire Radeon 6950

Yes i did, but its really tricky, you need to patch .techniclauncher\tekkit\bin\modpack.jar instead of minecraft.jar
This is because the launcher will merge both jars at launch, so patching minecraft.jar will be override by modpack.jar
To patch modpack.jar you need to copy some files from minecraft.jar to this one, and then apply the daxnitro installer to modpack.jar
Here is a link: http://www.fourdegrees.co.uk/index.php/forum4/7-minecraft/2178-tekkit--fancy-shaders
Takes a lot of patch and try to get it work correctly. If patch fails, check the log and see what failed, probably a missing class file or two, copy missing files on a new fresh modpack.jar and patch again.
Turn on custom colors and place lightmaps in environment folder of your texture pack.

I was wandering if 1.2.5 mods worked with mine craft 1.3??
Thanks and plz tell me. It would mean a lot. =)
Are you serious? Of course not. 1.3.1 is different from 1.2.5.
