I'm having a light issue. Not sure if this is a problem with SEUS or OptiFine, but light doesn't transition smoothly across blocks. I have smooth lighting turned on and maxed. Any ideas?

I was hoping to use SEUS shaders with FTB, specifically Horizons Daybreak. However I can't seem to figure out how to do it - I put the optifine jar in the mods folder, and added a folder for shaderpacks with SEUS (zipped) inside. I haven't been able to find any more helpful resources online, so thanks in advance for any help!
Could you speak more on installing optifine properly? I'm not entirely sure what the proper procedure is, i simply placed the jar in the "mods" folder. The full pathway is something like curse/minecraft/Instances/FTB Horizons/mods, and FTB horizons is the same folder i put the shaderpacks folder in. Is this incorrect?
In fact, when I hit the pause button and go to video settings it actually says "optifine" in the bottom left - but there's no option for shaders there. I was able to get it to work for vanilla MC, but FTB is proving to be a different... beast... Anyways I attached an image, to help with ambiguity
Alright I tried that, and we got some kind of progress? lol. I got an error message saying the game crashed, citing:
"The game crashed whilst initializing game
The game crashed whilst initializing game
Error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/minecraft/client/renderer/texture/TextureMap"
Do you think this means using shaders is simply incompatible, then?

I still can't get the preview version of optifine for 1.7.10 to work. The game will not load, even if that's the only active mod. It works fine with the previous version (the latest release version that doesn't have the shaders built in).
Any ideas? I can't be the only one.
edit: My only thought is it's the forge version, but usually if I'm using the wrong one, I get a message that tells me so, and it doesn't get that far. It's a full-on crash. I'm using 1614, which is the latest version of forge for 1.7.10.
I duplicated my profile, removed all other mods but this version of optifine, it still crashes.

Seus shaders dont work very well with Intel cards.
Seus 11.0 works on 1.7.0 and latest vers of MC.
Im not sure what you are trying to do here.
But let me explain short what you must do.
You need Optifine for running shaders. You dont need the shadersmodcore.
Also you must NOT unzip the shaders.
They must be zipped and dropped or copied into the shaders folder.
This shaders folder is created when Optifine is installed.
Seus shaders dont work very well with Intel graphics cards.

Download the latest vers for Optifine for 1.7.10. The pre is gone. Full version is out now.
i use it with Forge 1300-1400- and 1558.
So download it and switch Forge. Dont use 1614.
OK, I'll try 1558. I might have to fix a few other mods because of it, but if it gets it to work...

I use it all the time and I was able to modify the settings so I still get 40 fps on it!!!

Used like a year ago and they worked
I'm using MC 1.10.2 with SEUS 11.0 and the mod Sign Picture.
I get some glitchy issues with the image.
This just happens with SEUS shaders.
I had similar issues with 1.7.10 and were able to fix it if I disable SSAO. This doesn't work with 1.10.2.
Do you have a clue how to fix that?

Sadly, shaders and mods dont go very well together.
This might have something to do with his blockstate properties in his shaders.
