This doesn't work for me. I'm using SEUS v10.0 Standard (not Ultra) and my composite.fsh file does NOT contain ANY of these lines. I've looked through the whole file myself, and I used Notepad++ to search for "torchcolor" and "torchwhitebalance" and there were 0 results found. I even searched through ALL of the fsh files that come in the shader pack and NONE of them had any lines that pertained to torch color!
WTF!!?? Does that mean that the standard version of the shader can't be adjusted??? If there's no color information in the FSH files, then how can they be colored in the game???
Search for the following line in composite.vsh:
colorTorchlight = vec3(1.00f, 0.18f, 0.00f);
If you want a more vanilla white lighting try this:
colorTorchlight = vec3(0.78f, 0.88f, 1.00f);
Note that the colorTorchLight is also used for lava so you'll lose the red lava glow 8(
BTW, has anyone gotten 1.5.2 SEUS to work with FTB Unleashed 1.5.2 (or any 1.5.2 FTB pack)? I tried adding both mods to instMods, adding one to the jar and one to instMods (both ways), and merging the shader zip files on top of Optifine U_D3. The only one that didn't crash on startup was adding both zips to instMods. When I do that Optifine loads successfully and the shaders option appears in the options screen. However, selecting a shader does nothing; there's no graphical changes at all.
I installed this on vanilla minecraft with no issues and copied the shaderpacks folder from my vanilla install so I know it's not that.
I get around 12-15 FPS using standard, and I have an AMD A10 4600m APU with an AMD Radeon HD 7660G GPU. I'm not thinking I'll get 60fps, but at least a playable 30 would be great, I really want to use this. Can anyone help me?
I'm using ultra version, I think this shader is great. but in some cave, the water looks so ugly. And in the cave, the rc7ultra is better than this, So how can I change the v10ultra more like rc7 ultra? Or how can I make it looks better?
Don't get the samsung series 7, I have found those computers to be very bad for almost everything. I would recommend the Sony Vaio S. They have switchable graphics cards on the fly built in and can handle anything you throw at it. Even if you don't get a Vaio, I really would avoid the samsung. I realllllly regretted my purchase of the series 7.
wait really? what was the problems with it? i don't really care about switching my graphics card sense its graphics card is really good, but hearing that you regret it is kinda bumming m sense i have been wanting it... whats the reasons you regret it?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I could put something clever here... but i decided not to...
When i start and select any of the shader packs nothingh happens............................help?
Also magic luncher says there are 5 errors with of3d?
You need to use Optifine 1.5.2 Ultra D3, it can't be standard.
The MagicLauncher order is also very important, it must be:
Forge (if you use it)
Optifine 1.5.2 Ultra D3
GLSL Shaders
Then, drop in your shader packs, and away you go!
As a final note, make sure that you are using a fresh MC 1.5.2 JAR (just force an update) .. if MagicLauncher says 'modified' above the mods, you will probably run into issues.

GLSL Shaders 2.00 (based off of Karyonix 1.46) has issues with the TextureNM algorithm. Karyonix is working on re-writing the algorithm, along with his 1.6.X update, and porting to a forge coremod...
It *should* work as long as your FTB pack doesn't include some mods:
EnderStorage
RailCraft
IC2
There are others, but all of these cause a Java Exception during loading of MC, you won't even get to the splash screen.
The only way around this is to remove these packs, or grab the GLSL 1.45.2 release with Chocapic's shaders (or SEUS 10 RC 6 or 7). The textures load properly in that version because the Normal/Specular Maps issue wasn't fixed yet -- this means that there will be NO Bump or Parallax Mapping!
P.S. You can get the Optifine and GLSL 1.45.2 from my sig
Please enable the log in Magic Launcher, load up a world in Minecraft, and paste the entire log here in a spoiler so I can see exactly what went wrong and fix it.

2013-07-19 20:40:08 [CLIENT] [INFO] Stopping!
Dont feel rushed, I just want to use this mod REALLY bad!
First off, I know you reeaaallly want to play, but don't be so impatient! You're not going to get any answers that way!
I can't see this being a MAC issue, but I know that the Embedded Intel graphics adapters are fairly imcompetent and can't run most shaders. You may be able to get away with SEUS v10.0 Lite, but you're most likely to have to run Sildur's Intel/MAC Shaders (I would use GLSL 1.45.2 in this case because of the above & below issues).
Just read back a little further to your first posts, you have a very small NV card in your MacBook.. Make sure you are running the latest non-beta NV drivers -- which you have been told already -- I also can't guarantee what kind of FPS you're actually going to get when we get this running. You mentioned you ran SEUS 10 RC7 around 20 FPS, so, SEUS v10.0 should do better.
Aside from that, I would recommend updating your Java from 1.6.0.45 to 1.7.0.25 (or any 1.7 variant) to see if it helps. Sonic Ether may be using Java 7 based code/instructions in his Java/GLSL programming that isn't supported.
What did you use to do your install? MagicLauncher, manual, MultiMC? Can you post a screenshot?
I hate to be the guy who doesn't read the topic etc etc, but somehow I always get the error cannot be cast to TextureNM. I guess, the usage of shaders is impossble with the mods I have installed? The last time someone mentioned that this error is mod-related.
This is a known issue, see my above post about the TextureNM algorithm issue. Unfortunately, unless you want to remove those mods, you'll have to for-go the latest SEUS v10.0 ... you'll need to use SEUS 10 RC7 and GLSL 1.45.2.
I'm not liking the new sun position because, well, the sun going a 45 degree angle of normal doesn't seem right to me. However, if the sun were to rise in a general direction of east, still be straight up at noon, and set in the exact other direction to where it rose, and everyday the part of the east it rose in was random.

Hopefully that made sense. XP
Looks perfect to me! lolz
It very closely mimicks the way the sun moves up here in Canada ;)!

Magic launcher, it says both mods are "OK".
I use shadet mod 2.00 and optifine HD D3

The only kind of SEUS I can use is the Lite version, and I get about 3 FPS. When I try a different version, my Display Adapter stop responding and then recovers, and I have to close my Minecraft. My graphics is a ATI Radeon 3000 Graphics, and my processor is a AMD Athlon™ II X2 220 Processor 2.80 GHz. I don't know much about this field but could anyone tell me how good or bad these are? As well as If these are bad what I could get to make my computer better.

My adivice. Get a new computer. You need like top notch hardware to run these shaders.
History lesson:
ATI is now AMD... They are in the 8000 series now. Your card is about 5 years old. Brand new cards are struggling to get 45 FPS with this mod.

can i have a hand i need no lag!! i move so slow also in some shaders pack i cant run!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP PLZ
Yeah, your computer is too slow.
You need to buy a new computer. You cant just speed it up, people who run this mod have like $2000 computers. (If you want to run it good... $1500 for OK performance)
WAIT those are the prices if you build one yourself and put the parts together
If you buy one from alienware (not reccomended) ... Just... You need a new computer specially made for gaming.

My outdoor areas look beautiful with this mod, however, my indoor areas are very gloomy even when block light levels are at 13 and above. Also, other dimensions seem to be extremely dark. Twilight Forest is more like Midnight Forest, and the nether is completely black except for lava and fires. My brightness is set to 100%, so is there any other settings I can adjust to make these areas brighter?

Dude, just gonna super say, if you build your own computer it can cost as low as 600 bucks for a computer that has the same fps as a 1500 or 2000 dollar pre-built gaming computer. Like I said, just super saiyan.
Search for the following line in composite.vsh:
colorTorchlight = vec3(1.00f, 0.18f, 0.00f);
If you want a more vanilla white lighting try this:
colorTorchlight = vec3(0.78f, 0.88f, 1.00f);
I installed this on vanilla minecraft with no issues and copied the shaderpacks folder from my vanilla install so I know it's not that.
wait really? what was the problems with it? i don't really care about switching my graphics card sense its graphics card is really good, but hearing that you regret it is kinda bumming m sense i have been wanting it... whats the reasons you regret it?
I could put something clever here... but i decided not to...
************************************
************************************
This is a known issue, see my above post about the TextureNM algorithm issue. Unfortunately, unless you want to remove those mods, you'll have to for-go the latest SEUS v10.0 ... you'll need to use SEUS 10 RC7 and GLSL 1.45.2.
Hopefully that made sense. XP
Looks perfect to me! lolz
It very closely mimicks the way the sun moves up here in Canada ;)!
Well, you're going to need to provide some more information, someone here had a great template like 6 pages back...
We need to know how you installed Optifine/GLSL, what versions you used, how you installed the shaderpack (zip or folder)..
We also need some of your system specs, most importantly, your video card & whether you are win/mac.
Magic launcher, it says both mods are "OK".
I use shadet mod 2.00 and optifine HD D3

Optifine 1.5.2 D3 (Standard) or Optifine 1.5.2 Ultra D3?
As mentioned, a screenie would be extremely useful in this situation. It must be Ultra, and if it is not, it will not work.
Just take a screenshot of MagicLauncher, and one of the shaderpacks folder. Drop them on img.ur or photobucket or whatever, and post the link here..
I have ultra.

My adivice. Get a new computer. You need like top notch hardware to run these shaders.
History lesson:
ATI is now AMD... They are in the 8000 series now. Your card is about 5 years old. Brand new cards are struggling to get 45 FPS with this mod.
