We have gone t-to far. Man was not meant for this...

I use a pile of other mods so I was surprised when this worked without a hitch. Purely amazing. My laptop hates me now though and I think I may have to move minecraft over to my desktop computer for the sack of a lagless experience. Does this support bump-mapped texture packs?

how'd you install it? i can get the installer.exe to work but then what do i do?
    That cheezburger? I ate it...twice

Does anyone know a high-res (256x or above) that works well with this? Also what's the ETA for compatibility with the water reflections mod?

Try the LB photo realism texture pack and for the compatibility it's more a problem for the author of the Glsl mod and also optifine because optifine is not also compatible with the water shader mod.

i'm using optifine, and have run the installer.exe. Minecraft is working, but when i run it it only has the normal GLSL shaders, and no dynamic shadows. Anyone got any ideas?

I made a quick video. It's running at double speed. Bloom and SSAO are on, cross-processing is off.

I love the mod so these criticism are meant positively:

    - I find the shadows a bit too dark (while daxnitro's originals are too slight)
    - Moonlight is way, way too bright, it's like daylight
    - The scary shadows in the sky must go (featured prominently in the second half of the vid)
    - Objects in the middle distance (for example the central tower in the first half of the vid) don't have any shadows, this makes things look odd when you compare objects nearby with things in the middle distance

Video recorded at my base on the hhminecraft.com server.

This mod decreases my FPS from 50 to 9-13 fps :sad.gif:
    I have optifine smooth installed..

How do I uninstall it when I decide I want to just play Vanilla later on?
And will it ever be compatible with Water Shader?

You're right. A few hours ago I lowered the contrast between the sunlit area and the shaded area and it looks much better. It's also a little easier on the eyes because it's slightly less bright. The scary shadows will likely be fixed when 1.1 update comes around. I'm also working on a really cool bokeh DOF shader that I stumbled upon--I might post some teaser screenshots of that. I also want to cascade shadow resolutions so that I can extend the draw distance of shadows while maintaining good visual quality and performance, but I'll wait for 1.1 to start doing that.

No matter what I do the shadows still look bad and nothing like OPs pics.

Flickering shadows? Moving shadows? Light coming through the roof? 400 FPS to 50 FPS?
I don't give a ****... this looks pretty as hell!

    These shaders are amazing !
But it seems that they don't like ATI cards :sad.gif:

    I've got this :

    My rig :
    ATI Radeon HD 4890
    Phenom II x4 955
    4 GB ram.

I'm prety sure the problem is due to the graphic card, i'm going to try it on the GTX 460 of my brother to see.

Works fine for me and i'm using ati 5770.

Before I install, do you guy think this would be able to run on a GT 330m?
  • #99
    I WANT

My issue: If I don't install Optifine, the Installer works just fine, but the shader looks crappy (with the weird lines and what not).

But when I install Optifine like I'm supposed to, the Installer stops saying there is a "fatal error."

    Anybody else have this problem?

I'm running mac OSX Snow Leopard, if that helps.
