1.5.1 Update (13/12/2014): SimpleOres 1.5.1 Update has been released with some major changes, mostly to the API. From now on, SimpleOres depends on the SimpleCore API, which is an improved and independent version of the API that was previously included in SimpleOres.
This has a number of benefits, primarily that Fusion and Netherrocks no longer have hard dependencies on SimpleOres, and can instead add extra functionality when it is installed. For example, Fusion no longer includes Bronze, Thyrium and Sinisite unless SimpleOres is installed (as they require SimpleOres materials), and has a new alloy, Steel, which is included in Fusion by default.
The main changes are below:
SimpleCore API is now independent of SimpleOres.
Fusion and Netherrocks are now independent of SimpleOres.
SimpleCore API has been greatly improved and simplified.
New achievements added for SimpleOres, Fusion and Netherrocks.
Copper/Onyx Doors and Mythril/Onyx Furnaces removed from SimpleOres (will be added back with Aesthetics).
If you find any problems, please remember to report them here
Note: SimpleCore API is required for any of the below plugins to work (as of SimpleOres v1.5.0. Any previous versions DO NOT require SimpleCore API). It contains all the core classes that are used by the plugins so that they do not have to include the same code in each one, and increases their compatibility.
Installing SimpleOres and any other plugins is made easy (from 1.6 onwards) thanks to Minecraft Forge. Simply follow the instructions below:
Download the Recommended version of the Minecraft Forge installer for the appropriate version of Minecraft from MinecraftForge. Run the installer and Forge will install.
Download the latest version of SimpleCore API from the link above. Do not extract the .jar file.
Go to your mods folder ("%appdata%/.minecraft/mods" on Windows) and copy the SimpleCore jar file into the mods folder.
Download the latest version of SimpleOres and any other desired plugins from the links above, and copy them into your mods folder.
You're done! Just load up the game again, make sure Forge is the selected profile, and you should be good!
Alternatively, follow the video in the spoiler below, which demonstrates how to install SimpleCore, SimpleOres, Fusion and Netherrocks (for 1.7.10, using Windows 8.1).
Videos will go here eventually...
SimpleOres, and the other plugins, are all extremely configurable. Almost everything you could ever want to be configured can be, using the configuration files that are generated automatically. As of Minecraft 1.7.2, ID's are no longer configurable, and should not cause any conflict problems.
In the spoiler below, you can find instructions on configuring the different aspects of SimpleOres and other plugins.

All the information on the content of SimpleOres and any other official plugins (including Fusion and Netherrocks) can be found on the SimpleOres Wiki.
There are also unofficial plugins for SimpleCore API made by other awesome modders. If you make a plugin, make sure to link me to it, so I can add it here Below are threads for the unofficial plugins, which may or may not be updated to the latest versions.
Only Silver by Zot201 "A satellite mod which ports from SimpleOres the old silver, which position is now replaced by tin in the original mod, to the ongoing environment. New features such as the Silver Golem and customisable ore generation are also included."
For Modpack Creators: If you wish to use SimpleCore/SimpleOres and any official plugins in a mod pack, you are more than welcome to do so AS LONG as you credit me for it, and provide a link to this thread here. Also, no AdFly links can be put on the mod pack (obviously).
For Plugin Creators: Everyone has permission to use SimpleCore API to create a plugin. All the source code is available under the Source Code section below. The same applies for any official plugins. Please see the Plugin Development Thread for more information and for discussing plugin creation.

As of 1.7.2, localisations have changed, so unfortunately they must be re-done. If you can help to translate SimpleOres and/or the other plugins into your native language, please see the 1.7.2+ Translation Guide.
Any translations below marked as outdated may or may not have everything translated or may no longer be correct, however they are included still because something is better than nothing.
The currently supported languages are:
English US (en_US.lang): SimpleOres, Fusion, Netherrocks.
Thanks: The only thing left to say is a huge thank you, to all of you. To all the players of this mod, to those who offered feedback, helped with bugs, and to those who (mostly unknowingly) aided me with any Java issues I got stuck on. Thank you to Mojang for creating the game, thank you to the MCP team, and thank you to the MinecraftForge team!
Great simple mod if you are bored with ordinary ores. Although i think copper is a bit too common and excessive. I seem to find it every minute or so. and the veins of copper are huge. I literally just found a vein of copper that had 73 COPPER ORE!!! Other than that though its a mod that makes gives Minecraft a bit more of a goal. Looking forward to future mod improvements and updates!
Wow this got a lot of views and comments extrememly quick. Thanks for all the feedback guys, I had thought no one was interested.
Okay so to "mitchellgud" you really found 73 copper? Wow. And yes, I have tweaked the spawn rate of copper in v1.1, which will be coming soon.
"Firespar", I did make the Onyx like that on purpose but have also changed it to a bar for v1.1. Have also added the storage blocks for v1.1 :tongue.gif:
"BarX" thankyou for letting me know, will fix it for v1.1 :tongue.gif:
"frigidas1", what do you expect? We add ores tools armor. I tried to add a no falling damage effect when you wear full onyx armor, but I can't seem to get it to work with Minecraft 1.0.0 so I cut it out.
"MR.Mod" I was going to add tin, but mithril is a much better idea, thankyou :smile.gif:
"threehill" I am redoing all the textures for v1.1 to keep them consistent, as I also have to add in the hoes.
"Dragonchampion" I have never even looked at metallurgy, I did these myself with paint.net ahahah :tongue.gif: they are just hue/saturation edits of the diamond ore.
"urbanwave" I may be developing it for SMP, I just don't know how to do that yet. May look into it after the release of v1.1.
Thanks for supporting this guys, v1.1 will be along soon now that I have some motivation to update it :smile.gif:
Also, what do you think of a new block called a Disassembler? I was thinking you could use it to pull apart certain items (swords) into different parts, and then another block called a Reassembler, which you can then assemble those parts back in different ways to make better items. like a sword made of 3 different parts of different swords. Rather than just crafting 3 swords to make a more powerful one. What do you guys think? It wont be coming for v1.1 at any rate, if I look into it.
Thankyou for that review :smile.gif: do you think you could do one for version 1.1, even though it would only add a few extra things, however then I can put it in the main post? That would be awesome if you did :smile.gif:
And btw, onyx only spawns in the nether :tongue.gif: I'm pretty sure I said that in the original post hahaha :tongue.gif:
