What more can I say, all player's have been down this road before at one point or another. One day we'll be caught off gaurd and fall into lava, get ambushed by skeleton patrol/get set on fire by a blaze...
Than all those hard earned items are gone or lost in a labyrinth in a position that will take several hours to get to.
Wait, what if you could keep your inventory:
If your the kind of gamer who prefers getting straight back into the action,
rather than going through the arduous process of recollecting your inventory this mod, might just be what your looking for.
For Modders:
I've included the source code and fully commented it.

Sorry it's not multiplayer yet.
I'm nutting out the ModloaderMP API at the moment though.
Hey, thanks alot for the videos.
It's great to know that people who like and use my mod, are taking the time to showcase it.
:biggrin.gif:I'll try and have an update out by tomorrow.
Sorry for taking so long to come back online. I've been away on vacation with some friends. As such I've only just got back to realize that MCP and modloader had been updated.
I know. By the time I had realized that, I had already made this mod, that's why I made it open source to help fellow mod developers.
While single player commands is an awesome mod, people might not want all the temptation of all the extra features anyway (and unlike this mod SP commands is closed source).
Besides now that I have time to look at modloaderMp I'll try extending this (still open source)
for multiplayer as well.
WARNING:
There is a glitch when using this mod to keep inventory between different dimensions (i.e. Nether and End).
Please bear with me as I fix this glitch
Edit:
ISSUE RESOLVED :biggrin.gif:
(please re-download if you had an older version)
The mod now properly updates the inventory's reference to the player each time they respawn.
This is necessary for compatibility with item mods, which require information about the player, who's inventory they occupy. E.g. my resource detector mod
P.s. I'm really sorry that I haven't ported it to multiplayer yet.
I've been busy with other commitments, got distracted playing on a friend's server,
and have run into alot of difficulties just properly installing and decompiling modloadermp with MCP.
(without the need to have cheats enabled)

that was probably MCpatcher if you've patched it
Turns out that Minecraft creates a new world Object when you enter another dimension, but keeps the ISaveHandler object constant for the same save.
