Why only Forge? In my experience, forge is rubbish. It's always crashed my game with mods.
It would be better to do a version for standard Modloader as well. This will allow you to have a wider audience and more downloads.
It only crashes if you install it wrong (like any mod).
It adds wider compatibility between mods (except those that edit base Minecraft instead of doing it the right way) and is easier to maintain for modders.
Back on topic: Can't wait until the rest of the RC things get added back in. This mod is always useful when I just want to have fun and just fly stuff around.

I knew someone would say that, and I didn't instal it wrong. I have used forge many times, and the RC mod too. It's far to unstable compaired to Modloader. If one tiny thing is wrong with forge, the whole thing crashes really badly. (and fyi, there is no 'right way' to mod, as it's all different, and can be done in many different ways).
I've never found a wider variety of mods using forge. Infact, i've found more which use Modloader, and a quite a few that use both.

By "right way" I mean by not editing commonly used base classes. When multiple mods have to edit the same classes, that's where conflicts come in. APIs like Forge add a single place where mods can tie into those common base classes without having to modify them themselves, thus any mods that use Forge without modifying base classes are automatically compatible with eachother (barring ID conflicts).
More mods use ModLoader because it's been around longer but FML (Forge ModLoader) allows ModLoader mods (not MLMP, and not ML mods that edit base classes) to load in Forge without have to make any code changes.
In the end it comes down to preference of the modder whether they want to make a Forge, ModLoader, both, or neither version of their mods and its up to the players to determine which ones they're willing to use. Unfortunately, if the player's choice and the modder's choice don't line up then that's pretty much "tough luck" for the player.
I choose Forge as a player because it has greater compatibility (both Forge and ModLoader mods work with it) and I choose it as a modder because it updates faster, it completely open source and open development, and is an all-in-one API (don't need to use ModLoader + ModLoaderMP [which is a completely different story] for SMP compatibility). But that's just my choice and you may not agree and that's fine, but don't call Forge "rubbish" just because you can't get it to work correctly. If you need help with it, ask on their support forums and you'll get a fairly timely response. (But read the Excessively Asked Questions thread first, lest you be berated for not doing so)
ooooo got a sugestion you should have a gui for the planes that has an activate button and a drop item slot (fill the bi-planes with seeds and plant them into farmland, and jet put in gunpowder for it to drop)

I'd love to give this mod a try, but when I go to your website the link for "Crafting" under "Tutorials" doesn't work. I'm using the newest version of Chrome btw. Actually both links under "Installation" do not work. I realize I could just use TMI and give them to myself but that isn't as fun.
Hey skerp i have the rc mod and mine only comes with the rc car boat trainer and the jet. i thought it was supposed to come with the submarine and the helicopter but i dont have it in my miinecraft when i play is this a bug or do you not have it in their yet are the submarine and helicopter a wip
I have installed the Alpha 2.2 version properly, but there are a few problems that I have encountered. One of them is that when I put the RC XD down, it sinks in to the ground slightly, almost unnoticeable, but when I turn it on, it sinks down 1 block. The RC XD also sometimes doesn't detonate, but only leaves a few items scattered around. The RC jet also has some problems. I can arm the weapons, such as missiles or bombs, but it doesn't fire, only leaves a small puff of smoke. I hope that this will provide as good constructive criticism, and I hope that you are not offended by what I say. Thanks!

Sorry for my bad english, I'm Chinese.
I am aware of those bugs that you have mentioned. A lot of them are due to no chunk loading on the server and client side. The chunk loading issue and other minor bugs should be resolved by the next release. The RC Mod has been updated to Minecraft 1.4.5! Also join our dedicated server on thercmod-minecraft.net:25565 !
