pfft you'll do it or we'll cut off your supply of cake, but it is no use agitating you so I'll stop... for now...
Better. But yeah. It's almost 4am for me now, so yeah. I need sleep. I'll sleep with my mouth open. Be sure to push in anything that doesn't go in properly. *zzz*
(Seriously though, gotta go. :v It's been fun. )

Well, I'm here, looking to try to figure out how to find tainted crystals. I set up in a desert, and since then, the Vis levels grew from being relatively high (cinderpods were growing) to being an almost full bar. The desert is terraforming, and for the life of me, I cannot find tainted crystals anywhere.
Also, what do Arcane Focuses do? I've found Fire, Earth, Water and Air, but I can't figure out what they do.
Oh, and I checked the front page and found nothing, but I don't suppose this is SMP compatible?
As you can see I built a simple purification system. Pumps at the back to draw the vis through the system.
So heres the oddity. Vis/taint will go to the highest pressure position but it won't try to fill spaces if there is no room. So you can see that the side purifiers are getting no love because the extra taint will not fill the available space. Thus the entire system slows down and will only draw taint as fast as it pumps it into the atmo
I propose a hybrid system? pressure function is great. but I think once no more space is available. the backlog is allocated to the closest empty space.

You know, I had the goggles on... I don't remember if it increased the negativity of the chunk, thus making it over time, or if it was right off the bat.
Will test in a bit.
It releasing taint into the chunk the obelisk is located in.
Which, for most part, means that you pollute five chunks.
can someone make a detailed video on how to install thaumcraft 1.2.5 and have all the links to the needed downloads. iv been trying and trying ever since it updated but nothing i do will work. it always crashes no matter what. yes that includes loading it up with fresh everything and only with the needed files. i dont really know what im doing wrong so it would just be faster and easier to ask the community.
Page 455, the very first post.
Detailed, exact instruction.
5 pumps so that each row of purifiers has greater pressure than the buffer(tank) on the front.
And 4 bellows so the pressure evens out with the center row so all five rows are fed.
And like I said each row can have more and more purifiers as long as the pressure of the front 5 beats the buffer.
With three stacks on each row(in the pictures) the front had a pressure of 27 so. it looks like you could add another 16 on each row haha.
Can someone help me? When ever i try to select a texture pack my minecraft crashes

...It's not a 3x3x3. My OCD says it's not good enough.
...It's not a 3x3x3. My OCD says it's not good enough.
Unfortunately I couldn't get the corners to draw pressure evenly with the sides, even without the center. :S
So this was the most efficent. AND even then, if the buffer is below a certain level (around 2) then the center will recieve none.
So after a certain number of purifiers in the stack the center becomes obselete.
What would be nice is if we could tweek the pressure applied from pumps.
SO for example they work at the default max of 20. but if you right clicked them, you can access a pressure GUI that lets you change the pressure anywhere from 1-20.

Just make your pressure equal on all filters. Right now it isn't.

1. Not a clean MC.
Or
2. Damaged texture pack. Try unzipping it into a folder and select that folder.

There is indeed no 1.2.4.

They are for the arcane bore.
Right but 1. that requires more pumps (1 for each column of filters)
and 2. That doesn't stop the mechanic still being odd not filling empty spaces.
Yes, as I'm currently running the Yogbox build, and I don't believe they've updated it.
It releasing taint into the chunk the obelisk is located in.

You sure? From my tests, even if you max out one chunk on taint, it takes a long time to release into the adjacent 4.
Then again, I stopped doing tests and am playing around with Vanilla Minecraft for the first time in awhile.
It's totally stackable as long as the front purifiers pressure exceeds 10
From the front and From the back (imgur)

If I could do that I could certainly do a 3x3x3
Just make your pressure equal on all filters. Right now it isn't.
Every additional room have it's own obelisk.
Overkill. You can do the same with just one pump and one bellow.
The question posed is not about how I can fix that setup. I know how to do that.
It's about how currently the liquids "physics" are very odd when it doesn't try to fill empty spaces if it can't get to the place of highest pressure.
1. Not a clean MC.
Or
2. Damaged texture pack. Try unzipping it into a folder and select that folder.
The curent liquid physics are very simple. Flow is directed to the highest sucktion first, no spread.
This makes code very lightweight and whole system more easily manageable. That's why I said, make pressure equal on every joint.
Here's my portable obelisk safeguarding block:

Pressure on every purifier is equal, so they work in parallel.
