If you require aid with Custom NPC's give me a shout (In the thread, not PM's). I can read a bit of error reports, know most of the NPC workings (I'm attempting to work on scripting) and have been using it since its 1.0 version. Otherwise I'll help with any questions or problems I can.

Bug Report: the Battle Rifle makes the firing sound and recoil action... even without ammo. Does no damage without ammo though.
Thanks for the bug report, i fixed this bug already, but i'm glad someone did pick it up...
(it actually doesn't shoot a bullet, but adds recoil and makes the sound, pretty much what you said)
How come the guns are no longer craft-able? I'm lucky I still had some in storage on an old world that I used with the previous versions...
Because we don't have any textures for the parts of the guns, and I dont want it to copy something like SDK's gun mod like last time, and some weapons are found in the crashed pelicans, so some are legitly obtainable atm...
and I will make that block that will auto craft the guns sometime...

Yeah, there aren't crafting recipes shown for the pre-release yet, but you can use the Not Enough Items Mod to see the crafting recipes...
