This mod is pretty cool, but i'd like to ask for a few things. Is there anyway to add a spread function like sdk's shotty so i can make shotguns? As well as the ability to make our own crafting recipes for out guns so we can use them in survival.
Also i can't seem to reopen my own guns after i create them, the editor won't do it.
The editor also doesn't seem to modify the rate of fire at all, no matter what rpm i put down even 5 rpm the gun still fires off like mad with no change in rate of fire.

How come my gun has black background but in the picture it is transparent when I open it with photoshop?
Double check to make sure your background is at 0% opacity. If it isn't, select your gun (only the pixels of the gun, not what's around it). Set your background is at 0% opacity, then paste the gun onto the transparent background and merge the layers..
for some reason this crashes my minecraft only when i put the gun file in the folder but even when i put the gun file you can download it still crash it but then i take the gun file out and it works fine again
Can you guys upload the files that are making your game crash? I will try to load them myself and see if the problem is with the gun files or with the loading of the files.

A spread and multishot function is definitely possible, but I'll have to do some reworking. I may be able to fit it into another planned update where I wanted to add a different rate of fire for the burst of bullets in a burst shooting gun from the actual rate of fire (per burst). Also I realized the problem with the rate of fire and my next update will fix that.

I can add this although it may be more fitting to just give me some suggestions for other optics. Some people wouldn't want to have to customize every single piece of the gun.
EDIT: Ok I updated TheGunMod and the GunCreator to 0.4. You can now specify how many bullets you want to shoot in one shot and the maximum angle of the spread of the bullets (for example, a value of 5 would create a cone with an angle of 5 degrees in which the bullets could be projected). You can now also specify the rate of fire for burst fire weapons (for example, a value of 360 for "Rounds per minute:" indicates that when bursting, the gun fires at a rate of 6 rounds per second; a value of 60 for "Shots per minute:" indicates that the gun may shoot one burst of bullets every second). The rate of fire should now be working as intended and files created with the latest version of the GunCreator should be able to be reopened.
Your mod doesnt work.
Probably incompatible with Zombe's modpack, as it's the only thing that messes with modloader in the slightest.
(But then, every other mod that uses modloader works.)

I can add this although it may be more fitting to just give me some suggestions for other optics. Some people wouldn't want to have to customize every single piece of the gun.
It would be more fitting but it would get annoying having to switch the optic everytime you wanted to use sniper or LMG, also it would be interesting to see what people would come up with for each gun. so I would rather that you put in that awesome feature =D (Psst, did you see my other suggestions on page 2?)
I will test this mod with a big list of mods for compatiblity list , so people can know what thet can and cant install alongside this mod , i even gonna make a HD video , and a weapon pack (CoD Pack with ID list) , im gonna make some configs for mods too , so there is no problem with compatibility.
I have a suggestion too for the modder , if you add compatibility for damaga values to weapons (B.E. 129-1;129-2;129-3) than you can add a function to switch scopes , red dot , grenade launcher maybe? , and more of that stuff , and i will post this entire list within 2 days :biggrin.gif:

Awesome, I used Paint.Net to make a transparent background also people that use Paint.net when you save as a .PNG don't tick Auto-Detect that will leave a black background and you will lose colour, choose 32-Bit.P.S. I made a Proper Intervention, M4A1, and edited your tommy-sniper to just a tommy, im making a USP.P.S.S. I would love these features in;1. Able to configure Rate of Fire2. Able to configure how many bullets it takes before it destroys a block =) (would love this one the most)Thanks, I'm loving this mod!
Glad you like it. As of now, bullets don't do any damage to blocks. I'm considering having them break certain blocks (like glass, glowstone, etc.) but I don't think I want them to be able to break all blocks (dirt, sand, stone, etc.). Also, as I said in an edited post above the last couple large ones with pictures, I fixed the rate of fire so it should be working now.

I don't quite get what you mean "damage values to weapons". I will be adding some grenade launchers and other special features to the default weapon pack soon.
So i installed the mod just like in the instructions I made a gun and put it in the guns folder but when i start up minecraft its not there. minecraft works fine but the gun isnt showing up in my TMI mod.

I did not get any errors in my debug log and it loads fine into the GunCreator. All I can suggest is try reinstalling the mod: make sure to add ALL of the files located in the "jar" folder into minecraft.jar

Also, I used the AK-47 that was posted, THAT gives the same error report.
The error report tells me that the somehow the file is being loaded incorrectly or that you are missing files that the mod needs to work. If you could start Minecraft via the jar through command prompt it would give me more debug info, but I dont want to ask too much of you. As I suggested to the other person having the same problem, you could attempt to reinstall the mod.

Try this:
Minecraft for Linux / Other
Download minecraft.jar (89 KB). The jar is executable and might work as-is. If you run into memory issues, try launching it with java -Xmx1024M -Xms512M -cp Minecraft.jar net.minecraft.LauncherFrame, also please use Sun's JVM.
Launch the jar with the command given above: "java -Xmx1024M -Xms512M -cp Minecraft.jar net.minecraft.LauncherFrame"
You should do this either through command prompt or by making a batch file (just copy and paste the command into notepad and save as "start.bat" (change file type to All file types from .txt files only)).
This will tell me everything that is going on. Thank you for the help in finding bugs!
