Alright well I'm currently working on updating the mod cause I had an extra long weekend, but am currently having trouble. Please be patient, updating a mod one update up is one thing, but going from 1.00 straight to 1.25 after not having coded for months is a bit difficult xP
Alright! I've finally updated the mod, however, I forgot to put the tool textures in the download and I can't do so at my current location ;__;.
However, for those of you who've been waiting for an update for the mod (thank you so much for the support ) can rejoice in the fact that tomorrow at around 6 hours prior to posting this on the clock, I will have this mod updated with the textures and everything. The download links currently do lead to the .zip file with the updated version of the mod, but again, they are missing the textures, so I guess that if you could somehow get your hands on the textures that existed in previous versions and put them where they should be, the mod should work. Probably better just wait 'till tomorrow, though
Also, if you read around the topic, you'll see that I talked about adding armor to the game, and I'll probably be finishing up the codes and getting it released in the coming future (the next couple o' weeks or so). Anyway, I'm happy that I've reignited my interest in Java and am now back on the modding scene!
New update! v1.11 -Added obsidian bricks (crafted by putting 9 obsidian bricks together in the workbench.) -Added Reinforced Obsidian Tools to the mod (made using obsidian bricks and metal rods.) -Nerfed the regular obsidian tools (refer to FAQ section).
The FAQ section will soon be updated with a new image of the statistics for the tools.
Dont change the recipes to use just one block of the item and the corresponding ingot. Its good like this. You pay a high price for VERY GOOD tools.
You could add obsidian ingot tools... it would make sense, because you have obsidian bricks tools.
Your mod is very good
+ 1 for u!
Thanks for the feedback! Don't worry, I won't nerf the recipes. And about the obsidian ingot tools, they're already in the mod I referred to them as regular obsidian tools in the thread.
v1.13
Some major balancing stuff I did. When I first set the values for the new tools, I completely messed the math up (instead of multiplying by either 11 or 9), I multiplied by 27, yeah, so big mistake fixed right here. This, of course means, that tools are extremely nerfed, but rightly so, as the tools were overpowered by far.
Steel:
-Lowered max uses from 6750 to 2250 (keep in mind regular diamond tools have 1561 uses).
-Lowered efficiency on proper material from 8 to 7 (regular iron tools have a value of 6 and diamond tools have 8)
Reinforced Diamond Tools:
-Lowered max uses from 42147 to 14049.
Reinforced Golden Tools:
-Lowered max uses from 864 to 352.
Obsidian Tools:
-Increased max uses from 2033 to 3122.
Reinforced Obsidian Tools:
-Lowered max uses from 72000 to 28098.
Alright, updated the excel sheet for the FAQ section. Go ahead, see and compare the new goodiness of the tools I've played a couple of hours with these new values. Seems to work very well. Please provide any feedback you have!
