2: right now, under-water things are waving back and fourth with the water ripples, which looks fine, but there's something missing. The underwater objects are still at the same apparent depth as if there is no water there, which makes the water look like a thin sheet on top. If it's not too technically difficult, it would be nice to have the water refraction actually make the water appear shallower than it really is.
Thanks, useful feedback, i did not think of this yet. :smile.gif:
Isnt working for me. I can load a map, its starting to render and after app. 50 Blocks (tried on worlds with and without water in this range, reflection looks nice) it stops and the game freezes. 5 secs later i get blackscreen w/o error message. Im using 181 on a Win7 64 with NVid 250 & 8 GB Ram (gave MC 6 GB access)
to bad its not working with mcpatcher better grass and modloader. i get grey sidegrass with the better grass fix. and minecraft crash without the fix.
The obvious solution is to not use the "Better Grass" option in MCPatcher. ModLoader, which this mod doesn't require but most do, is also incompatible with Better Grass. Most of us have given up on using it long ago. :sad.gif:
P.S. Necrowizzard, thanks for the reply. I figured that might be the case, but then Minecraft doesn't use alpha transparency for grass, or anything other than water, ice, and portals, does it? I figured I can just change those 16 pixels or so myself but then thought it must be another problem. I guess I'll try it and report back.
Edit: It seems you are correct, sir. Turning the alpha threshold to 11 or below is when those pixels start to show up in GIMP. So I changed the texture to a threshold of 254, saved and loaded it up. Looks fine now.
