Interesting idea, however if this ever did port to SMP (via Notch), I would simply get mad because it would look bad in SMP if a new generation of griefers came about and they all started left clicking people's houses. I think the damage should fade away instead (Like 10 seconds of idle it will fade in 3 seconds time)
Not sure if it is Minecraft (Since it has a history of update issues) or the mod, but sometimes the transparency for the 'cracking' animation remains behind after the block has poofed. A client restart is the only way to fix it (much like the failure to load chunks bug).
this is so epic i pooped myself
side note to homies, i have sent this to slyfox asking him to put it in homiecraft.
Back to the mod.
Wow this is so awesome holy JEEZUS. Seriously though, fantastic work.
Nah, the slowly shifting by themselves destruction textures would look silly
Init funny that no matter how you design it people will want something else?
Auto repair? In my experience I've yet to come across a material that auto repairs itself once I've started destroying it. Bit sad really because I've been known to start ripping something apart only to get half way through and decide maybe I shouldn't be doing this.
I can see great advantages in using this mod. The number of times I've started destroying a block only to 'think' its the one below [or above] that I meant to do and switch only to realise I was on the right block originally. Now I'll just be able to continue where I left off.
Well done on doing something that just makes sense.

This is entirely client-side. Other people cannot see your damaged blocks, or "finish" them.

Hey I can help with the configure number of broken block script and I can also (maybe depending on if you did this how I think you did this) help you make broken blocks slowly disintegrate. What do you say?
I found a bug:
If you punch a leaf for a second and then break the tree it was on, the leaf block disappears, but the breaking animation stays there and you can't get rid of it.

"What makes you think i could not do that myself, lol"
This mod is great, but 15 blocks limited? Is that because of the lag is can cause if it's too high? I believe it's something like that.
I like the mod, but you could edit the scripting in some way so that the mod will allow more than 15 blocks but not cause any extra lag.
I don't actually know how fast the rendering is or what number of Blocks would cause a slowdown, 15 was a really arbitrary choice (c'mon, you had ONE before, and that without letting go of it).

There is now an automatically generating config file, to be found at minecraft/mods/MultiMine.txt. Inside, you can set how many blocks are supposed to be damagible at the same time, and the rate at which damaged blocks regenerate.
Well i did not want to add a regeneration by default but then i caught myself staring at healing blocks for several seconds. Well whatever there is a low value set by default.
Updated because i noticed it overlaps with one of zombe's mods classes: Now you can also set your mining speed ratio in the config file. (default 1.0 = 100%)
Downloaded and added to my family's mod compilation.
Thanks soooo much for the work you must have put in to make this mod a reality.

i agree because in multiplayer other people can mess up you house
Just letting you know.

Single- or Multiplayer. How to reproduce.
Hehe :biggrin.gif:
In that case, re-downloading now :tongue.gif:

Well on your screen at least
I no longer exist

I shall look into fixing this.
Fixed the 'Block is gone but damage not' bug
