Mystcraft is known for "saving" the Waypoints you've made while the client is still running... but then "losing them" magically, after you quit Minecraft. I don't think anyone has figured out ~why~ it happens, or how to make it retain those Waypoints. Sorry.
It's odd, because the problem I have is that every dimension mod BUT MystCraft keep losing their waypoints after quitting (and restarting) Minecraft. MystCraft waypoints work just fine for me.
Having a troubling time getting Re's Minimap 1.4.7 and Better Than Wolves (1.4.7 Compatable Version) to work together. Seems to only happen after I install Rei's Minimap, and I thought I should bring it to your attention. Maybe I just am not getting something right. Either way, maybe you could help with a... Crash Report?
:/
Also thank you in advance for any help or light upon this subject.

Maybe I'm not looking for it correctly, but is there any static map? (i.e. a PNG or JPG file showing the sum of all mapped areas for that server as one big composite map) Could this be an option?
I am the official mapping person on a large SMP server so we can keep track of where things are. For years I've used Minecraft Automap, which did a great job, and now that we're testing Feed the Beast mod pack, which pretty much excludes Automap and uses Minimap, I've had to take a sequence of screenshots of the large map in Minimap and stitch them with Microsoft ICE, which is all kind of tedious. There has to be a better way.
My fiance uses this mod and is in love with it. I've finally decided to give a shot and installed it just like the video said to but when I go into the game to play the map isn't there. I've tried pushing all the buttons on my keyboard on the chance it was some weird default button but no luck.
Seeing as the video on the first page looks fairly old, is it still the correct way to install the mod? If so then I've probably done something wrong without realizing it. If not then it needs a warning that it's out of date or should be replaced with a video that's correct.
Hrm. I get this error, any help you guys? All i got installed is Minecraft Forge and Rei's Minimap. The texture pack that I had on is R.3.D Craft, I don't think that this matters. It is the 64x64 version, I again don't think this matters. It crashed when I loaded my world which is completely vanilla.

Bro i love this mod! It adds a adventure feeling to my game, i've been using it since it came out but never replied lol. I just want to thank you for being awesome and also to ask you if you are planning on updating the circle map gold thing to a more hd icon?
ok i have an idea if theres isnt one already ive died multiple times and it shows all my death points and i think if u die that death point should stay but if u die agian it should automatically move to the new death spot so this way u dont get confused
You can find special configurations for Reis minimap in the main.cfg of ForgeEssentials.
it will look like this..
####################
# ReisMinimap
#===================
# Use this to enable certain Rei's Minimap options. They will be added to the server's MOTD automatically.
####################
ReisMinimap {
B:caveMap=false
B:radarAnimal=false
B:radarMod=false
B:radarOther=false
B:radarPlayer=false
B:radarSlime=false
B:radarSquid=false
}
If you Rei, or any other ReisMinimap user has suggestions for any features you want with this, please contact us.
I would like to humbly suggest in future versions to move the Rei's Minimap FOLDER to the /config directory instead of the /mods directory. Thank you for any consideration!
Excuse me, can I translate your map mod into Traditional Chinese? I want to put it on the forum in Taiwan.
If I can , can I also put the download link here in your article?
Sorry my English isn't well!
Can you please make vanilla maps not useless? Like adding functionality such as way-points to them instead of giving people a free map that doesn't require filling in yourself?
I was wondering if you could make it where the markers could disappear when the player is within, say, 5 meters (adjustable in configs) Because the markers kind of get in the way when I am trying to do stuff in my base...
I just wanted to ask you why you don't write the configs into the config folder instead of the mods folder. I didn't found the configs first, a bit confusing like that.
Thanks
The config folder is for Minecraft... Rei's is a mod, thus why the config is in the mods folder.
Can I install the mini map manualy without forge???
Yes. Just open your Minecraft.jar with zip or rar program, then open the Rei's file with the same program. Drag and drop all of the files in the Rei download into the Minecraft.jar.

You can find special configurations for Reis minimap in the main.cfg of ForgeEssentials.
it will look like this..
If you Rei, or any other ReisMinimap user has suggestions for any features you want with this, please contact us.

If I can , can I also put the download link here in your article?
Sorry my English isn't well!
You may not have to, but you should to avoid errors.
Yes.
The config folder is for Minecraft... Rei's is a mod, thus why the config is in the mods folder.
Yes. Just open your Minecraft.jar with zip or rar program, then open the Rei's file with the same program. Drag and drop all of the files in the Rei download into the Minecraft.jar.
