So when I updated the driver to my graphics card, minecraft will refuse to run while IDResolver is initiating, it just disappears. It generates this error. However, minecraft will run ONLY if I use IDResolver, it does not crash if I remove it.

i want to resovle my id clashes, so as i go through the id list mc crashes and comes up with "oil still must be oil flowwing +1" but it never comes up with an option to change oil id (oil is from buildcraft)
plz help me fix this
ps: great mod espicially if your trying to run 71+ mods and not get id clashes

Mistvale, I was having the same issue. Here's how I solved it:
Go to your %appdata%\.minecraft\config\buildcraft folder. In there you will find a file called main.conf. Right-click the file and open it with notepad. Here you will find a list of all of the IDs that Buildcraft uses. Manually change the ID for Oilmoving and Oilstill. Just make sure that Oilstill is whatever the ID for Oilmoving is +1. (Example: I made Oilmoving 900 and Oilstill 901).
Once you're done changing those values, go back to your .minecraft\config folder and delete IDResolverKnownIDs.properties and IDResolvermodPriorities.properties. Delete those two, and then start up minecraft. It will detect that you're running ID Resolver for the first time and allow you to change the IDs of any conflicts. If you still get the "Oil Still" error, just repeat the process from the beginning but change the IDs in the Buildcraft config to something different.
Pain in the ass, I know, but at least it will work!

I got this error when I tried installing one of the tech mods... forget which one. I solved this issue by raising the priority to 1 when it first shows up on a fresh install. Hasn't happened to me since :D.
So this mod helps two mods that normally wouldnt work together work. Like I would love to use Mo'Creatures and Tropic craft but unfortunately they never work together, so using this mod will allow me to run them together.
I'm having unbearibly long loading times when I try to make a world with this installed, and I can't seem to find that problem listed in the OP.

Thanks for this, it kind of works for me. It seems to make the changes and I can load up the game and play. But the next boot it asks to reassign the same files again and I am not sure why it does this. Also I wanted to ask when I export the list of open ID's can I just manually open the other mods cfg files and change the ID's in there to open ones and just have the changes stick?
Right now I got 3 mods all fighting over 4095 and I am trying to just make the changes and then pass them over to the server.
Hey do you think you can make this mod work with Achivement IDs? I have all my mods working just fine whilst using this mod (They worked just fine before also but its a pain to change item IDs so I got this) but the problem is one of my mods has an achviement with the same ID as another mod achivement. Can't change it in the config of either of the mods. So can you make this mod work with achviement IDs as well? That would be great! Thanks ahead of time!
Like a couple others on this thread, I'm having a problem with CachedStackTrace. Well, not exactly a huge problem, I'm just confused why it does that...
See, every time I start my minecraft the console (if using MultiMC/something other that shows the log...) is literally mostly IDResolver spewing out warnings about CachedStackTrace being for a different item... EVERY time. Even if I start minecraft, quite it right from the menu without even loading a world and then immediately restarting it. No change, it spews that warning all across the log.
The funny thing is, this does NOT affect my minecraft in any serious way that I'm aware of. Everything works across multiple restarts and on both single and server worlds. It just seems to take slightly longer to start. I'm just VERY curious of WHY it does that? I'm not changing anything, I'm not even really DOING anything and still it says that over and over again, every time.
ps. GREAT mod! Thank you x1000 for it. It is apparently the only way Ars Magica and Thermal Expansion are able to be used together. (They REALLY don't like each other...)

I tried to re-compile using the git repository and using eclipse, but for some reason it won't compile, unless of course I'm doing something wrong.

Nevermind, I just wrote a script that finds duplicate blockIDs and itemIDs and just changed them manually.
