I have an issue where the internal buffer if filters, sorters, retrievers and the like will get stuck even when the pipes are empty, this normally it normally happens when there is an item in the pipe, I tried to set it up so that a buffer may try to fix it, but I can't get it to spit out the items it collects.
note this is almost 100% gonna happen when it pulls a form of basalt or marble (bricks, cobble, smooth)
Edit: the mode is set right, and for those that need it, there is plenty of power provided
I would like to know if someone has literally made a working computer with ligth blocks and wiring.
I am having a big problem with the computers. I mean, not a single video showing how they work, and they're in the fricken mod. I would at least like some instructions or something.

I don't know how to say this politely, but I'm fairly certain RP computers aren't for you. RP's computer is 'old school' by which I mean it doesn't try to understand you, you've got to understand it. All the documentation that you need to use it is far more 'readily available' then it was when comparable 'home-computers' were sold.
While I appreciate your desire to make use of it, I must say that Eloraam has quite captured the feeling of games of her (and myself and many other regulars of this thread) favorite era in how the RP-comp works. I personally enjoy doing battle with my own ignorance to complete my goals as opposed to artificial token resistance. I'd also venture to say that a good number of us old-farts actually like it when the challenge isn't to do 'X', but to see if 'X' is even possible, or how efficiently can 'X' be done.
These are usually cases of there not being a valid inventory for the items to travel to.
Have you tried removing the section of tube behind each machine and testing it in chunks?
I.E: Check the correct item is pulled from the chest and gets spat out the back of the Retriever, then check the next item is spat out of the Sorting Machine, ETC.
you are correct sir, the error was that I had 2 designations spots painted greay instead of a grey and a light grey
Ore is also binding up the system, but that will clear up as it get dusted and smelted.

actually there are several very well done youtube tutorials (the best one is an hour and a half long.)
The hour and a half long tutorial:
These two are fairly decient also, I think it's the beginning of the series.

I'm working on a text-based tutorial for getting started with the computers, as I agree that they're highly unapproachable to beginners. I've run into a problem with my installation of Redpower, which has halted the production, but once I get that resolved I should have it ready within a few days.
That said, if you're really interested in learning Forth (it's well worth it) the introduction to it that I and many others learned from can be found here. I have to warn you that no matter how you go about learning the language (tutorials or textbooks), Forth requires work. And you clearly didn't put in very much before complaining here, or you would have found by Direwolf20, with him doing exactly what you asked about.
If you're not ready to put any effort into it, you're better off using Computercraft.
While we're on the subject of Forth, I've got a problem with my RP install. I don't know what could cause this, but there's a problem with my division and modulus operations.
Here's what happens:
21 4 /MOD . . 5 1
21 4 MOD . 5
21 4 / . 1
This happens no matter what numbers I use, the modulus and the division are mixed up. It really shouldn't make a difference, but I'm on Ubuntu 12.04, which is the only change I can think of to explain this.
Compare this to my GForth, which does this:
21 4 /MOD . . 5 1 ok
21 4 MOD . 1 ok
21 4 / . 5 ok
OK so I've been using Redpower 2 for a while and i mostly use the red alloy wiring and maybe the timers and such but im still confused about how the different logic gates work. Im not that familiar with Vanilla minecraft redstone logic so that doesn't help. is there a place for a guide or something that explains the logic gates Further and there uses?
sry im a little new to RP2 and hell i having even tried touching the computer in RP2 either but that i will figure out when i get there.
can anyone help with this. clients playing on my server seem to be crashing at random when near moving frames. here is a crash log

This mod is mind blowing, will be spending ridiculous amounts of time with this. Serious question tho wondering what your opinion is on A.I? Do you think its possible for a machine/computer to develop a consciousness?
yes, once it reaches a certain point it has almost unlimited power/knowledge because it can improve itself

Does anyone know of a fix/mod/patch/hack that would allow IC2 miners/pumps to output items directly into a tube network? Tried looking and couldn't find anything for it. Would be great if it was SMP compatible so I could submit it to the server I play on.
Failing outputting to the tube, at least outputting to a relay would be a nice addition.

put a chest next to the miner (i dont know if the relay would work) and use a transposer ticking on a timer up to the chest
Umm, why dunt the downlod wurk in wun point free, this is bad y it no work, did u not make it for new minecraft yet???? hlep me pleese, it dont works!?!?!!?
Are you retarded? what kind of writing is that?
Redpower3 won't come out untill gameforge 1.3.1 is done...
I'd Like To SuggestThat Maybe You Add Wireless Redstone Devices? No Matter How Much I Use This Mod And Make All These Designs, I'm Limited By How Much I Can Place In A Certain Area By Size. If You Add Wireless Redstone That Use Different Frequencies, It Would Make Wiring So Much More Easier! I'm Also Fully Aware There Are A Few Wireless Redstone Mods (Powercraft And Djoslin To Name A Few), But Seeing As How Amazing Eloraam Made This Mod, I Think This Would Be Easy And An Excellent Addition. I'd Also Like To Point Out That Perhaps Vertical Implications Should Be Added, For That Again Would Make It So Much Easier To Wire Creations And Make A Lot More Things Possible (Of Course, Not Just Redstone, But Every Single Redstone Related Block Like Repeaters And Sequencers). Great Mod And I Really Hope To See Bigger Things Happen To This Very Versatile Mod.
I'm working on a text-based tutorial for getting started with the computers, as I agree that they're highly unapproachable to beginners. I've run into a problem with my installation of Redpower, which has halted the production, but once I get that resolved I should have it ready within a few days.

Ya see, it doesn't take much effort to go back to the old ages, and, should I have figured out how to place certain blocks, particularly the 8-bit thing, and even a few others, I would have not posted here.
I don't know. I haven't updated yet. Mods are too awesome

Wait! Redpower 3? Right now we are in Red Power prelrelease 5, or to say, we haven't even got to Redpower 2.
Seems like I forgot to type the 2. But still it is not Redpower 2. It is pre-release. Redpower 2 is yet to be released then.
