YAY MOD IS OUT!!!! This is still not totally done but 6 koi are available, one of them being very rare (hint: you might wanna keep your eye out at night!). Watch out for Dr. Zhark's sharks and More Creeps and Weirdos goo goats (they have a taste for sushi). Tame them with seeds and get koi molested! Next release we will try to have fish eggs and a few more styles.

I think maybe EntityKoiEgg.class is missing or another class that requires it. ಠ_ಠ
The lilies are from the wild grass mod (I made the lotus and re-colored Glimmer's lily pad) :3
As for how to catch them, you do it the way you would IRL, lol. If you're trying to kill them then get close enough to them and kill them (fishing pole works well for that). If you're trying to move them in to your pond... they follow you when they are tame, maybe a channel or something? Hubby suggested the pokeball mod for now (it'll be made MUCH easier in the next update). Basically, move them the same way you'd move the dolphins in Mo' Creatures, lol.
can you check the koi's it doesnt work with the optifog mod? I'm using the optifog C version not D ok. its just a little below the download for optifog D.. it just blackscreens i don't know why. no error no nothing... :sad.gif:
But awesome Koi's nvertheless.. GREAT JOB... im happeeehhh...
Hey i made a video for your awesome mod! iv been waiting along time for koi fish! it has commentary :biggrin.gif: it would be cool if you embed it but if not its still cool :smile.gif:
I understand it's still a work in progress, but geez..
1. The koi spawn way too much and in groups of 20.
2. The koi's animations are so fast! It makes me dizzy! The regular koi's swimming animation is about 200mph!
3. The koi move way too fast.
does the alpha overwrite the test? also known as.. do i have to start a fresh jar?
It does, though you should look for mod_Koi.class and delete it, as it is now obsolete. So no fresh jar.

Ahh well there's that concern I stated in the first post, I'm assuming your system has a video card and can push minecraft with no issue. This mod is being developed (and primary testing is done) on a laptop, and it gets moved to the desktop for secondary testing, though the desktop doesn't have a GPU, just the onboard AMD 4200. When moving it over I noticed a speedup, so I slowed everything down to look good on the desktop, it actually looks 1/2 speed on the laptop. As for spawning in large numbers, I'll cut the max per chunk down for next release, that should keep em from popping up as often. If you can tell me what hardware you're using and your average framerate I''ll see about releasing a version for "high-end" systems (pretty much anything with better video hardware than the desktop, I guess).

I'll install it on the laptop and see if I can figure out why it would do that. I don't have optifog or optimine installed on the laptop because the hardware is apparently so lacking there is no discernible difference in terms of performance haha. -edit- Ok, tested with optifog c, runs fine. Do you have modloader installed? It needs to be installed before optifog according to the main post.

I'm not sure if i did something to it but every time i drag it into my winrar .minecraft it gives me a diagnostic message saying The Archive is corrupt ? did i do something to my winrar please help :sad.gif:
Well I saw you fixed it by removing mo creatures, but it's tested compatible with mo creatures. The sharks even eat the koi. Not sure why that one happened, have you tried reinstalling mo creatures after the koi mod? It may have been a corrupt download or something.
Alrighty, going to work on it in a while, I need a break lol.
The Koi Mod is amazing it overall my Favourite mod so far. Thank you :biggrin.gif:! for making it. Btw can you make a banner for the Koi mod. I would gladly represent this mod.
Banners are done (just waiting for hubby to upload), koi eggs are done, tweaking of the movements is being done now, video is almost finished, and at least three more variations are being worked on. The next update will be within the next few days, I hope you guys like it :smile.gif:
A little bit more like when placed together they lay eggs every once in a while which you can collect and hatch
(being a bit of an amateur ichthyologist, lol, that's about how it really ends up irl). Yay koi farms!!!
Updated first post, banners now available, credited carter36 for the video (sorry about that!). Also added an updates section, this is where you can find info on planned features for both the next release and future updates. Also, thanks to everyone for the kind words.

Oh yeah I also forgot That I installed the HDPatch - Modloader - Optifog C - Koi Mob
Doesn't work
Mind to check it again? maybe it isn't compatible with HDpatch.. just my cents. :smile.gif:
