SMP servers don't last forever. Therefore, World Recorder allows you to save your SMP work so that you can have a backup. It will only record chunks that are loaded in your view, so visit everything you would like to save, and then hit the m key to write the save files. Remember to enable the recorder on in the multiplayer menu.

I realise that people can use this to map all of the server ores. In that case, antiXray from bukkit forums will prevent this mod from saving those ores.
This is amazing! But! This could also allow more organized grefing: imagine someone using your mod to "record" a potential griefing target, and the using a map-editor to sneak peek into someone´s secret underground room where they store all their valuables.
Nah... using an x-ray mod is easier.
Maybe some systen that informs the server that you are using this mod?
wow this is really great!
but do you have to press M on every new chunk you are on?
You shouldn't have to. Just visit everything man-made to get them downloaded. The natural parts of the world you don't have to visit because they can just be generated by the see client side. The spawn should be wherever you first entered the world with it on. Only press m before you're about to disconnect. There's still an issue with saving multiple times and I haven't gotten bug reports to fix them yet.
