torchflickerfix, i assume is a bugfix for the annoying particle bug, right? FC's already got that in the mod.
good to know man!
will remove that fix from my mod list
anyway, with the 4.38 update, the error will be gone?
i have followed the instructions and such, modloader first and btw afterwards, but still the error shows!
EDIT:
confirmed fixed with the 4.38 version!
thanks FC for the update, you da best!
When playing on Hardcore, you have freedom to move anywhere you want, without caring what useless contraption or base you leave behind (I restarted when I left a stack of diamonds behind.) But when playing on Hard, you have to set up a base right at your spawn, permanently attached to it, forced to build lots of signs where to go in complex caverns and it gets dull eventually. I'm debating with my self if this is actually a good thing.
Protip for caves: It helps to put all torches on the left wall as you go in. When leaving, just make sure they are on your right.

The only thing i hate about this is that you can't sleep! night is dark and makes me lag! i play on peaceful and and it's really stupid
As far as I know, darkness won't make you lag. If you're playing on peaceful then you should be getting the same amount of lag during the night as you do during the day.
I think it would be cool if there was some kind of craftable block somewhat like the command block, but it ONLY could do /say, and each one could have a private name. This would be cool for survival inventions such as saying *Opening Door* or *Activating TNT*.

Thanks for taking the time to consider this!!
I don't think this would be a good idea. The only practical uses that I can think of would be using it for troubleshooting large redstone circuits or using it for some kind of alarm system. The former shouldn't be necessary because most people who make circuits big enough for it to be needed are advanced enough with redstone to easily figure out what their problem is. The latter can already be done in so many ways with whats already in the mod and even with vanilla. Plus with servers, some random person could just hook one up to a timer and spam the server.
Yeah, the chat thing would also provide an infinite range alarm.
It's also crossing the line from in-game to the meta-game. There's in game methods for providing notifications when something happens already. Note blocks for example.

I've noticed that occasionally after eating a piece of food my character burps and gains three extra hunger bars. I've never seen this before, so I'm not sure if its a new feature of vanilla or if its part of BTW. I couldn't find any documentation on it. The only mod I have is BTW.
FlowerChild, I just read your last dev diary and it made me so sad I don't even know when I will be able to play MC again.
Btw, I wanted to show my very-work-in-progress, an attempt to create a BTW tutorial map. Now, it consists mainly of recipes spread across the walls (for the first two tiers of Wood Age), but I'm actively trying to find ways to add some interaction and task completion checking.
I started the work yesterday, so it's still very small, but I want to know what do you think of this beginning. http://rghost.ru/41923478 - download link (hopefully will be up for a long time).

Hijacking is probably the least cool thing in the world.

Don't be sad man. BTW will always exist and I will continue to support it indefinitely. I love this mod way too much to just let it decay.
Think of it more as I'm starting a new project in addition to this one, one that will allow me to really attain the level of gameplay I've been chasing. This really isn't a negative thing at all, but a massive positive for people that enjoy what I've done with BTW.

Yep, I understand. I'm not sad about plans, and even if you'd not mention it throughout whole dev diary, I would never believe you are not going to continue development on this mod.
It's more about your problems. I guess they call it "empathy" or something.
And your video, too. This farewell is enough to make me feel kinda sad by itself.
It may be return to home, but... I guess, Minecraftia has become our home too, isn't it?
(by the way, the only mention of "formative world" I found is the English brief summary of Quabbala. I didn't understand a thing, though that reminded me of Platonic Cave
Ah... While we are at it, may I ask you a favor? I'm probably not in the best position to do so, but still.
Can you make two levels of difficulty? I happen to be extremely slow-learning when it comes to games, and a difficulty level like "Touhou Easy" would be great thing to have.
If it's a maintainance burden though, I understand.
Want to know one funny thing? It happens so that I have never read obut RTH till today - I guess, I just had not lurked enough on btwforums - but still was no surprise for me. In fact, I've been waiting for something like that in about half an year or maybe more, cause it seems such a natural extrapolation of mod.

I'm pretty sure you're going to have to explain what that means. The only thing 'hard' about BTW is mobs and finding resources. And this is relative to the world more than the mod.
Learning all the recipes can be hard, but there's a wiki for that. I myself can't figure out what is 'difficult' that would even possibly be adjustable...oh and there is a config that can change the rules a bit but I'm not sure how anything could be changed to help with "learning" BTW.
And if you mean alter crafting etc...then that would essentially be not-BTW and therefore not learning BTW. Just need a little more info, plus there is always the forum, where the only help you wouldn't get is when asking when he's going to update

obviously, yeah, but you better update your MC client to the latest version

FOR THE LOVE OF STEVE...you are a freaking genius. Seriously I always get lost in caves and never thought to do this. Thank you so much.....
Can't believe the number of people who don't do this. I did it automatically when I first started playing. It's a trick to solving mazes

Damn it. Thanks
