FC, will there ever be any intentions to implement some sort of wireless red stone system or have this mod compatible with http://www.minecraft...s-redstone-v16/ ?
Ever since i found this mod and got it working with your mod back in the days of 1.3.2 or something like that, i found it sooo useful. Its incredibly time consuming and inconvenient having to place many switchers & red stone along an incredibly long stretch of space. When i was trying to build a water wheel elevator up to my gigantic tree house, the red stone required was very unforgiving and trying to find a way to place the red stone so that it was not visible externally yet maintain the realistic features of my "world tree" was almost impossible. Wireless red stone fixed all that and saved me a lot of time...after it was too late lol. I really hope you will make this mod compatible or implement a similar system into your mod :3

Ever heard of a thing called a lens block? I hear it works quite well coupled with a thing called a detector block, and with a redstone lamp... I hear you can transmit a redstone signal that way, up to 128 blocks away! O.O
What I'm trying to say is, the feature your asking for already exists in the mod...

Whoops my apologies, i had like a 5 month break from minecraft and this mod didn't have it in. I assumed it still didn't.
Edit:
Wait so.. the way these two blocks work is that the lens block has to be shinning towards the detector block?
That still doesn't really suit what i had in mind. With the wireless red stone mod all you had to do was give detector X the same frequency as detector Y and they can listen to each others signals within a certain range no matter what the circumstance.
Or am i not understanding how BTW's version works. Because the way i see it is that nothing is allowed to interrupt the beam of light that the lens block sends in it specified direction, that means that the path it is shun on has to be straight and uninterrupted.
& thank you for your kind and mature response to my question that did not sound snarky at all.

I can't speak for FC's intentions in terms of implementing wireless redstone-like features outside of the lens block, and I do remember back when wireless redstone was compatible (keep in mind, it was Wireless Redstone that made itself incompatible by moving to Forge after 1.4.2, so there will be no "making BTW compatible with it" again), but I wouldn't put money on this being included in the mod. As much as I enjoyed wireless redstone back in the day, I don't think that the concept really fits within the "stuff can be easier, but you have to work your ass off to get it that way" mentality in the mod. Perhaps there will be something down the line, but with the new move into SMP, stuff using wireless redstone systems could potentially be rather OP for anarchy style servers (which is what BTW is geared towards.) The lens, however; should be able to help you get the functionality you need out of that elevator, though you would need an unobstructed path between it and the detector block. The lens can achieve the same thing, but focused in one direction. Hope that helps answer your question.

Thank you, the forums could use more people like you who give appropriate and mature answers. Though keep in mind i have been absent in the world of minecraft for about 5 months and i am still catching up so excuse my sloppiness.
I noticed that the wireless red stone mod moved to forge and i understand FC's stance on forge, so i guess compatibility for that mod is out of the question, yet i would still like a reply from him just to confirm.
On another point, i can understand how throwing in a wireless system can break the immersion of this mod, but i realize that the technologies in this mod are categorized in "ages". Would it be feasible to add this wireless technology in a more advanced/new age? Now i only ever play single player so i don't know how this would fair in a multi-player environment (balance) but it would be just awesome to have this technology/feature implemented yet it would be hard to reach this "new/advanced" age where wireless technology is available.
Now as far as using the functionality currently implemented in the BTW ( lens's ect) I don't have a complete understanding of how this works but my interpretation is (extract from my previous post):
Wait so.. the way these two blocks work is that the lens block has to be shinning towards the detector block?

Hopefully you can understand my dilemma and hopefully i am seeing it right in how the detector/ lens's work.
I really enjoy certain aspects in this mod which no other mods can offer yet there are certain other mods which i feel i am quite dependent on but i chose to use this mod. Its hard but i truly hope one day that FC can find a way to resolve this issue with incompatible mods.
Thank you, the forums could use more people like you who give appropriate and mature answers.
I am not sure what you exactly want to use the wireless redstone for. If you want to make a tree house, it should not be that hard to embed the lens + beam in the tree itself.
A detector block will detect the beam, so it's "eyes" only have to be orientated to the beam, no need to interrupt.
I would use an always-on lens beam, and interrupt the signal to toggle the elevator. Using a piston or so to interrupt at the bottom and at the top should do what you want to do. The signal should toggle a T-flip-flop (use a Block Dispenser) and that toggles the mechanical power on/off.

Im mainly talking about the fact that the wireless red stone is not interrupted aside from its range limit.
My main dilemma is the fact that i want to maintain a surreal, yet natural feel to my house which is located in a large tree. Having red stone sticking out in places & having find a way to hide the red stone breaks what i am trying to achieve and is very tedious.
Here's an illustration of how my elevator was constructed with and without the wireless red stone mod.
Without the wireless red stone (on the left) i had to hassle my way through the tree & under the ground to hide the red stone and make the tree & land look as natural as possible. But with wireless red stone (on the right) i simply had to place a detector on the bottom floor of the elevator & a detector at the top floor of the elevator which made things so much more simple. I dont exactly know how to apply the lens & other blocks you all mentioned in a way that is not visible since i assume that nothing is allowed to block the beam of light being emitted to the lens. This is why i am requesting some sort of a wireless feature :/
Ohh & mind you this is just a very rough and basic illustration of my situation. imagine the tree & terrain looking more natural + the top elevator platform being located on a large/ fat extended branch of the tree while also taking into consideration the tree reaches above the clouds from sea level. The circle on the far right is the water wheel in which water flows like a waterfall from both sides down to the bottom where the tree is surrounded by water, yet the bottom of the elevator is on dry land. The elevator system is located inside the tree branch in an attempt to conceal all the red stone mechanisms + consider all the vegetation(vines leaves) ect.
I would appreciate it if you could explain to me how your method would work, thanks. Like i said, its been 5 months since ive played minecraft, im very rusty :/

A lens -from a gameplay perspective- emits a beam when it recieves light from the receiving end. I also just realized that you don't have to put too much work into it.
You could easily replace your lower red "wireless redstone" block with a lens/lightblock combo, and the upper red thingey with a detector block.
Make it off by default so when the DB recieves power, the elevator descends. Also, make it connected to a flip flop (block dispenser with 1 half slab and 1 full block), so the pulse duration is not important.
You would only have to push a button or whatever, then the elevator comes down. At the top, you simply plug a button into the power line from the detector block to the t flip-flop, and you're all set.
Once again, sorry about my posting of the Forge thing the other day. Now that BTW it's updated to 1.4.2, I've decided to try it. but When I get into Mincraft, it crashes:

That is the BTW integrity check failing, you've overwritten a BTW file with a version from one of your other mods. I would guess at optifine. Remove that and try again.

May the Force be with you. Unless you're a troll, in which case, may the farce be with you.
When trying to install this for SMP i'm getting A Corrupted Archive. I get that when trying to copy the files over through winrar on the 1.4.2 Minecraft_server.exe, you state jar in the instructions but i assume that would also pertain to the server.exe as well. Not sure what is wrong otherwise so any help would be appreciated.

Yup, it's already been reported on the BTW forums, and fixed.
I'll probably be putting out another release later today to address this and a few other issues.
For the time being, they work fine on Planters.
ah awesome. Well, in retrospective fertilizing wouldn't have mattered, as those things grow like MAD.
I mean, they might as well be family of the Groth and bloodwood. except they're not even soul-infused.
