Do you have a screenshot of what you mean here? I can't really picture it.
EDIT: NM, I figured it out
Haha yeah and the tidy part is that the crucible lined up perfectly with the pulley mechanical system, so it would empty the crucible when the platform was bringing more stuff up, and then be ready to collect more when the platform went down, without too much extra work.
Just to clear with everyone, this is a mod that isn't unlike how you would set up a civilization if you were dropped onto an unknown planet, electricity is beyond many people, and is complicated. Either way, id have the sh*t scared out of me if I ran into a zombie with a meter long head. And by the way FC, worlds without structure generation now go without villagers and large biome worlds are now without easy emeralds. Still love making effigies of my enemies hanging about town and having heads sawed off.

Yup, I am aware. I don't design for non default options, nor do I believe in watering down the main mode of play in order to support them, which is a trap that Mojang falls into way too often IMO.
If you have villagers intentionally turned off by removing structures, then it's perfectly reasonable to me that you don't have access to them.
EDIT: And as a message directly to you: If you want to contribute to this thread (and you certainly do seem to at least be playing the mod), and aren't just here to aggravate, can you cut it with all the cutsy "Love walrus" crap and just speak in a normal tone?
The only thing it's really accomplishing is making me (and others) think that your intent here really isn't constructive, and to ignore your posts even when they contain reasonable points.
-Added the ability for snow to accumulate around tall grass, flowers, saplings, and other similar forms of vegetation, to provide a more uniform and aesthetically pleasing distribution. Note that spruce saplings will grow when covered in snow, but other varieties of tree will not.
-Changed (optimized) the way the ray-tracing vs snow works from the last release, to prevent potential performance issues.
-Fixed problem that was causing add-on authors to have difficulties updating to version 4.58 of BTW. This change is the primary reason for this release.
-Fixed problem that was causing Hardcore Spawn to cycle through a short list of respawn locations rather than respawning the player at a truly random location.
-Fixed visual glitch where if you destroyed a slab (or other similar block) with snow resting on it, the snow would briefly appear floating above the area it previously occupied.
-Fixed problem with snow not being to accumulate in the space in front of Detector Blocks, or in a Lens beam.
Enjoy!

Ah I'm loving the snow changes you're making. I almost always build bases in snow biomes, and you're helping to make 'em look even better.
Thanks man! I just didn't have much reason to look at that stuff before as snow really didn't have much of a gameplay impact. Now with HC Movement though, it's a whole other story
These environmental changes that have been added are all very cool, game changing steps up from vanilla. Villager changes add to the hardcore-ness of the mod. Very well done. Now, if only we could fly Flowerchild to Sweden...

Thanks man! More villager changes will be on their way in the near future. I'm quite excited about what's to come
The mod API is something that should only be talked about around campfires late at night to scare young modders.
I'd make plans for it, but I have more pressing concerns to deal with first like the potential damage leprechauns could do to the mod code while I sleep.
That was Notch's first real statement on the "upcoming" mod API, and it was made just shy of two years ago.
Since then, it has undergone a massive amount of feature creep, has had people hired specifically to work on it only to wind up adding content to the game instead, has been the subject of countless "it will be in the next release" statements, keeps expanding into some theoretical wankery that would only be practical for a herd of unicorns, and as far as I can tell, has had next to no real progress made on it.
So yeah, all that to say: I stopped treating the mod API as a serious consideration a few months ago. IMO, the likelihood of it actually coming out while Minecraft is still being actively played, and thus while it is still even a relevant consideration, is really not worth wasting any time on.
When/if it ever comes out, THEN I'll look at it and see what it's about. Until then, I have the leprechaun menace to deal with.
So when leprechauns are added can there be a pot of gold and rainbows? I really need gold because nether farm is too hard.
Okay seriously, I didn't realize it has nearly been two years since notch first discussed the api. I agree, it definitely now falls under the pipe dream or pipe nightmare category depending on your perspective. Given whose implementing it, definitely nightmare.

I stopped treating everything Mojang says as serious until they prove it and deliver. There's been too many things they've promised to do, only to end up breaking those promises and not delivering.
On a brighter note, I'm liking the new additions you've added to the mod recently. Hardcore movement, in a way, forced me to start building minecart rail networks, instead of my normal habit of hoofing it between locations. I had completely forgotten just how convenient rails were, and am glad that I'm building them again.

I swear to god I must be the only true optimist left on the planet.

See...I kept telling everyone that wolves are evil despicable creatures, but would anyone listen? No, of course not, and now you're all ******, so "haha...told you so".

To be honest, I don't even believe them on things they supposedly have delivered. Minecraft had a full release? Do tell. I'd love to hear all about how all the major bugs were fixed and originally planned features added...
The villager changes are very cool, cant wait to see them have pets of their own:P But I do mean to ask, will cats and/or bats have any real uses in btw future? And how will you deal with the upcoming items to be added(like hoppers,) or game changes ( like players riding pigs riding skeletons riding spiders riding minecarts)?

Bats yes, but I likely won't be making any additional changes to cats. They rule just fine all on their own.

Industrial Craft is probably worth looking into as well, as that's the classic mod that added such systems.
Electricity in MC really isn't an uncommon idea though. I'm sure there are plenty of mods you could find that add such systems...just not BTW.
Love, Walrus

Now if Only Villages could spawn in snow plains in vanilla >_>

Isn't IC2 forge ONLY? Like RP, isn't it incompatible with this? Oh yeah, do you have plans on the Plugin API?
Thanks man! More villager changes will be on their way in the near future. I'm quite excited about what's to come

Did you read the instructions?
If so, can you recite them to me please?
If you refuse to tell us what the errors are and you don't show us a crash report, there's nothing we can do to help you solve your problem.
So it works now?
To be honest, I don't even believe them on things they supposedly have delivered. Minecraft had a full release? Do tell. I'd love to hear all about how all the major bugs were fixed and originally planned features added...
Bats yes, but I likely won't be making any additional changes to cats. They rule just fine all on their own.
In most cases: rip them out with righteous fury.
It's rather rare that ANY game ships with all the originally planned features included.
What I think is a bigger problem were the ones that were included and never completed.
