The problem should be fixed, can you try again the 1.6.6_C version.
Thank you for providing an OptiFog stand-alone release sp614x, I hope you can fix the waterblock issue so I'm able to use Optimine on my server as well!
Im having a bit of trouble with getting this to work. I'm on a mac, so the mac instructions tell me to make a "backup" of the minecraft.jar file.
So I don't know if anyone has helped you yet, but I'll try again. The last guy didn't seem to understand my bullet point directions...
(sp614x, you might want to add these directions to your original post... Your Mac directions are kinda ****ed.)
These are thorough directions for installing Optifog/Mine on a mac. Please read.
*Note, ~ is a UNIX abbreviation for your user folder on a mac so if you have no idea what the hell I'm talking about, just double click your Hard drive, double click Users, and then double click the folder with your name on it...)
1. Navigate to ~/Library/Application\ Support/minecraft/bin/
2. Rename minecraft.jar to minecraft.zip
3. Double click minecraft.zip to expand.
4. Open the new minecraft folder.
5. Switch over to the folder from the unzipped mod.
6. Highlight all of the files (Or just type Command+A) from whatever mod you're working with, in this case Optifog.
7. Go ahead and either Copy/Paste (Command+C, then Command+V), or just drag and drop all of the mod class files into the minecraft folder. (To make this simpler, don't have any other windows open.)
8. Scroll down to META_INF (It's a folder), double click it, and delete the two files named Mojang_c or whatever. Leave the Manifest file alone. (Note: When installing ModLoader, you have to delete the entire folder. It's the only exception I've seen to this rule so far.)
9. Now go back a folder to the minecraft folder and either highlight or (Command+A) everything in the folder. It's going to be roughly 700 items.
10. Right click any highlighted item and select "Compress X items"
11. Scroll up to the top of the folder and click on the only thing in the list not highlighted, Archive.zip. In a default Finder window, it's just off the bottom of the window if you're at the top. (I usually scroll down just a tiny bit until I see the folder "Armor"
12. Click and drag the Archive.zip anywhere besides the minecraft folder. I usually just use the Mod folder that is now empty.
13. Rename the Archive.zip to minecraft.jar
14. Switch back over to the minecraft folder and go back one folder so you're in the bin folder.
15. Delete the minecraft folder as well as the minecraft.zip
16. Go back to the Mod folder (Or wherever you put the minecraft.jar you just renamed.)
17. Drag and drop the minecraft.jar over into the bin folder.
18. Close all open windows and test run Minecraft!
00. I really hope this is thorough enough for everyone to follow to the dot. It's as descriptive as I can get. -Jess
Added Java 1.5 compatible version for Mac OSX 10.4
Thank you very much sp614x. :happy.gif: At first it made my FPS worse, so I put the vanilla.jar back in, set the default settings to optimal, and then switched back to the Java_1.5.jar and set the rest of the optimal settings and I've gone from ~10-15fps on Short to ~20-30fps on Normal. :biggrin.gif:
The Nether light levels are fixed in the 1.6.6_B version. The brightness also works correctly in the Nether.
I don't suppose you fixed this in the Java 1.5 repack did you? I haven't even been to the nether yet so I'm just curious because I planned on it today.
Thanks for a reply! I love the cloud height, I always wanted that!
But... Is that just me seeing no difference in grass between def/fast/fancy? What does it exactly do?
Fancy grass has the same color on the sides as the top (biome dependent).
Fast grass has default color on the sides (not biome dependant)

All releases after 1.6.6_A are Java 1.5 and Mac OSX compatible.
Added configurable details for clouds, cloud level, trees, grass, rain and snow.
Any combination is possible, for example: fast graphics + fancy trees or fancy graphics + no rain.
Clouds at default height:

What i am looking for, thanks :biggrin.gif:

Same here. Error:
The improvement of the lag spike is a good direction this time.
Still, please watch writing last time when thinking that it is a problem.
It wishes that it become better for the Minecraft player. Please work hard.

Check out OptiFog_1.6.6_C
The jf.class was initializing the configuration.
When it was not installed there were some problems.
Ooohh Thank you so much! :biggrin.gif:
Cloud height - moves clouds from 0% (default height) to 100% (above height limit)
The other options allow to mix fast and fancy features or turn some features off.
My favorite is combining fast graphics with fancy trees.
