Hey sp614x, could you add support for the color.properties from mcpatcher, because for the Texture Pack I'm currently working on, I would like to change the text colors.
I got to say this is my favorite mod because without this mc is just a lagfest and now using the ultra pack I can actually have mc use my dual cores.It gets my 11/10
This is only for jar mods. Mods that go into the "mods" or "coremods" folder are not affected by this.
Install only mods that are compatible with Forge. Either those that do not alter the same base classes, or that are compatible because they have the same forge functions in their versions.
Next, install Optifine.
The issue, simply, is that Optifine wants to modify a fair number of base classes. If any other mod alters the same base files, then that mod is not compatible with Optifine without some merging work between the two authors.
Ideally, you just won't use any mod unless it is compatible with both forge and optifine.
Installing OF last means that it won't be broken by an incompatible mod, but other mods might be broken by OF.
The last time I saw a mod that said "install me after OF'" was a much older version of Light Level Overlay.
When I take the texturepack off, the crash doesn't happen. Any way I can turn something on/off to prevent this from happening until it's fixed? (If it's a bug with Optifine, that is)

It works just fine for me with Forge #675.
Make sure OptiFine is installed last.

If u use optifine, the glass is not the one from my texturepack, while using McPatcher everything is fine.

This is the Better Glass form MCPatcher that uses multi-pass rendering, which is not yet supported by OptiFine.
I was playing Herobrine's return by Hypixel (great map) but the point is I was at 5 FPS which is probably realy bad. Then I installed optfine and it was plaing at 20 FPS to 40Fps that is awesome! this is a great mod.
I can't seem to get custom sky working, i have sky set to ON, custom sky set to ON, and have Short +16 Render distance with fancy graphics. anybody help!

I'm pretty sure it only works on normal+ render distance.
This should be worked on though.
i set my settings to have clear water but then realized that that was really ugly and turned it off. regardless of what i do, even uninstalling and installing again, the ugly clear water remains even if the options say its off

edit: i was using U C6 and when i updated to U D1 it was fixed

It works just fine for me with Forge #675.
Make sure OptiFine is installed last.
The log doesn't match the screenshot.
If the terrain rendering takes 150ms, then the debug should show less than 10 FPS, not 50 FPS.
my problem is when I play minecraft (on server ) 15 min and freezing and nerver work till I restart it
I can't even complete a hunger game
I got this problem on win 8 ( on win7 no )
but even in the single player this happen but every hour

No errors that I've seen. Everything runs normal but the models are just jacked.

I use to play minecraft with optifine, modloader, and rei's minimap installed before. Not sure why it doesn't work for me anymore
If you are running on Linux, set Chunk Loading to Default or Smooth.
It's Windows 7, and I do have it set to Smooth. I'll try Default.
Edit: Same problem on Default.
