Hello, I donated to your mod about a month ago and got the Optifine Cape! I recently found out that if you donate now that you can get a different colored cape. If you can please change the color of my cape to be black and the letters to be cyan. Thanks!
I'm using Minecraft 1.4.6, with Forge v6.5.0.467 and I cannot get Optifine to show in in the installed mods list.
I am positive that the version of Optifine I downloaded and attempted to install was the 1.4.6 Ultra version, and was under the assumption that it was compatible with Forge? Is this incompatibility perhaps to do with the Forge Mod Launcher, and not the Forge itself?
In addition, I have also uninstalled all other mods in hopes that there was an incompatibility due to another mod, which was not the case as it still did not display when I launched minecraft.

Lag exists in single player. First, MC operates on a server since 1.2 or so, even in single player.
Second, there are lot of lag problems that are not FPS problems. For example, riding a minecart can cause the world to freeze for a second then jump ahead, just like in your "shoot guy, 3 seconds later he dies" scenario. Sometimes pressing a door to open results in a lag spike that opens the door a second or two later than normal. Sometimes it appears that you have been stuck in one spot, only to find that you were really moving all that time, and it was just a visible lag -- not good when you hear yourself blowing up from a Creeper, but the lagged video stlll has you standing in a safe spot.
Lag and FPS may be different, but both problems exist in single player, and normally Optifine will help with BOTH.

And even then some of your examples can be caused by a delay in the video rendering due to outdated hardware or old drivers or a host of other problems. They can still be condidered 'lag' (video lag), but not the same as a 'latency lag' that I'm refering to. Yes, I knew that MC runs on a server. My main idea I'm getting at is that all the twitch kids who play their mindless shooters think that lag is when their game starts to slow down framerate wise, which really annoys me.

You can donate and choose from a list of different colors, I think the questions most people are asking is whether they can customize the color after they already donated, something I would like to know myself.
I've recently installed the optfine mod and when i shoot off fire works it doesn't show anything it only makes the noise can you plz fix this problem i would really like to see my fireworks when i shoot them off

People are saying this because they donated before sp614x implemented a "custom" choice for the OF cape. Now when you donate you can choose like a red, green, blue etc. Or you can customise the text and different parts of the cape. I'd like to know if I could change my cape after I donated but with the amount of cape spam here it's hard.

Heyo... So this isn't something that's crashing my game, it's not even something the mod is breaking really but I can't seem to turn off my debug profiler(sp?) option for optifine HD A2 U and minecraft version 1.4.6... It's making the fps drop on my game drastically for some reason, and I have all my other settings set to off and/or fastest. Nothing out of the ordinary for me and my history with opti-fine(Which has been an amazing life-saver! If I could donate I totally would.) I wouldn't have been able to play the last two years without it! So I just wanted to let you know that I can't turn it off but I'm not worried bout it at all and will happily wait til it gets sorted out if. (If it's not a problem with my computer that is!)

Did you save the settings or do you have a java specific profile overriding it?

It is best to use the magic launcher to see whether the mod works/crashes and you have mess up your files
