Can you possibly add 3x and 4x SSAA, I know it's overkillofor gameplay. but it could be used for cinematics and butter smooth screenshots. Or maybe it is possible to get it by modifying some file(s)?
You can force any AA level via the graphics driver control panel.
OptiFine HD B6 Ultra for Minecraft 1.10" is showing up as "no mods found" when I try to use it with magiclauncher as a mod. I suppose I can install it the manual way but I'm still curious if this is a bug or if I'm not doing it right somehow. No harm either way, it's just convenient to have the toggle since some maps don't like optifine.
Better Water has some problems and is not ready for a release.
When the player is inside a simulated water block is he still underwater?
- view (overlay, fog) has to be fixed
- breathing has to be fixed
- movement, fire, etc. has to be fixed
These are gameplay changes that are getting out of the scope of OptiFine.
I could fix only the view and leave the rest as it is. Then the view will be underwater, but breathing and movement will be as outside of water.
You should probably just get to work on conversion.
It is more of a performance issue. Currently we have the choice between rgba16 or rgba8, but to render a wide range of luminosities rgba8 is not enough and rgba16 is too much, plus the alpha channel is not needed in most cases. The r11g11b10 is enough for hdr rendering but has the same cost of rgba8.
On my nvidia gtx670 it would give a +5% fps boost (on simplified shaders it would be bigger) and probably even more on amd because amd gpus have to filter 64bit formats at half speed. It would probably help a lot the performance on intel igpus too.

I meant more like, do the calculations in R11g11b10, and then just convert to RGBA16.

I would agree with the other person that making the water act like it's literally there is a bit much.
If it were put in I'd hope for a button to toggle it off seeing as I enjoy OptiFine for boosting performance and visual and such(Which is awesome, thank youuu! lol), I wouldn't want gameplay changes even if small.
I've got a very strange issue here. Since I first encountered it when adding Optifine to the Revolution 2 modpack, I'm posting it here, but please let me know if I should look elsewhere for answers. I've done a bit of testing, so I'll list what I've found:
I'm running Forge 7.99.40.1614, Minecraft 1.7.10, default Optifine settings
If I install these mods:
- Baubles-1.7.10-1.0.1.10.jar
- Botania r1.8-249.jar
- Chisel-2.9.5.11.jar
- DragonAPI 1.7.10 V14d.jar
- OptiFine_1.7.10_HD_U_D4_MOD.jar
- RotaryCraft 1.7.10 V14d.jar
and have Reika's sanity checker/fixer on, I get this: Album as well as a CTD when attempting to look at pages in the Botania lexicon that have recipes on them. (Here's the crashlog)
PS. I have NEI installed in the pictures, but installing it doesn't seem alter my issues.
- If the sanity checker/fixer is off, no problem.
- If I remove chisel, no problem.
- If I remove optifine, no problem.
- If I remove botania, no text issues.
Also, if I add:
- BiblioCraft[v1.11.5][MC1.7.10].jar
- BiblioWoods[Forestry][v1.7].jar
- forestry_1.7.10-4.2.12.60.jar
The text problem goes away, though the lexicon recipes still crash.
Now the obvious solution is to keep the sanity checker/fixer off (which I've done, though I don't personally recommend it), but I'm curious as to what's going on here. Any ideas?

Could you block anaglyph 3D from being enabled with shaderpacks? The two are incompatible.
I didn't think it really made sense, I understood it was part of the Dynamic Lights. If its intended it'll just be a weird quirk to me then

What's the progress on this?

Really looking forward to it.

Hey,
Is it possible to add the R11F_G11F_B10F format to the available framebuffer formats?

Any reason why I can download B7 off the site but not the forums?
Added to TODO list.
The download page at "optifine.net" is updated automatically, the forum post has to be updated manually.
is this updated for 1.10.2? or does this version work with it

Friendship is magic!
Hi. I am having some problems with the shaders.
When i turn on shaders everything starts flickering white.
