Edit: Oddly if I don't add Optifine to Magic loader and just throw it in the Mod folder, it works.
Can someone shed some light on the situation I'm in?
On Minecade the Minecraft maker levels mobs are invisible and make no noise, but this is the only place I've seen it happen, is this an issue with the server or Optifine?
And know any way to fix it?
Can anyone help? I can't seem to use optifine after the launcher update! The optifine that I use before the update is unavailable when I wanna play it. I reinstalled the latest optifine and I can't find it in the 'versions'. Help?
Do you use a launcher besides the default one by any chance?
Hey, everyone! Since MCPatcher is now an abandoned project, I was wondering what do I need to do to adapt MCPatcher-enhanced resource packs to OptiFine. Is it done in the same way, with the mcpatcher folder, or do I need to move the files around?
Thanks for your time!

As far as I can tell they work in the same way. If you're updating to 1.11, you'll need to update the resource pack type number accordingly, and remove capital letters from your files.

Hate to ask but how do i make mob variants for random mobs for example
I wanted [regular] zombies to have variant skins between zombie types i wanted 2 most common skins and a bunch of rare variants.
-----------
^ also wanted to do the same thing with husk zombies and stray skeletons?

I try to add Optifine to the Magic launche, but it says "No mods found".
And when I try to manually install it, nothing happens, I've been trying this for ages, any help?
Hi guy's I'm having issue on stock Minecraft I haven't played in awhile, so could be me.
I followed the guide to do simple install of OptiFine_1.11.2_HD_U_B7
Minecraft Version is 1.11.2
This is a window frame sizing bug in Opifine .Notice that there is no outer frame on top and left side of the window . There is a wide white frame bottom and right side . Move the mouse arrow to the right corner frame of the wide bottom until the mouse arrow changes to a double sided arrow , now left click hold and drag window frame right to make the window frame bigger . the graphics will appear

You have not provided any info that can help diagnose a problem . look though some of my posts in the ML topic for your answer
There appears to be an annoying texture bug with the crosshair, there's a green line under it and it's driving me crazy. It's definitely optifine. I've tried it in vanilla and I don't have any texture packs downloaded. There are also graphical artifacts on text (notable on the splash screen).

Long time issue. I believe it is due to antialiasing.

Hey. This will probably annoy you if you are trying to scroll down the page.
Wow this thread is quiet these days, I'll assume it's because Optifine is so stable now that there are so few problems to report!
I was wondering about an old feature request: Variable entity render distance. I would love to be able to slide it down when in a busy area with lots of item frames/paintings/animals because they really seem to kill the frame rate.
And a suggestion, if it hasn't been suggested before (probably has) - Dynamic render distance. I find nothing more "immersion breaking" than noticing my frame rate has dropped too low, having to go into the menu and adjust the render distance manually, knowing I will have to adjust it again later. What if you could slide the render distance bar all the way left and Optifine dynamically adjusts the render distance to maintain fps (to a set number, e.g 30 or 60 fps)? No idea if it's even possible, but hey it would be awesome.
Also wanted to say great work with the shaders integration, I love that I only have to install ONE mod now, thanks!

Uhm... I'm on 1.7.10 with HD U D6 and don't have the shader options button.
Am I missing something?
According to the GLSL Shaders Mod thread, Shaders mod integration in Optifine only applies for Minecraft 1.8.8 and newer. If you're using 1.8 or older, you'll need the shaders mod separately.
Ok I simpyl can't figure out what's wrong here:

Edit: Oddly if I don't add Optifine to Magic loader and just throw it in the Mod folder, it works.
Can someone shed some light on the situation I'm in?
On Minecade the Minecraft maker levels mobs are invisible and make no noise, but this is the only place I've seen it happen, is this an issue with the server or Optifine?
And know any way to fix it?
I'm using the latest version of Optifine.

Thanks a lot! Your reply is really helpful!

Hate to ask but how do i make mob variants for random mobs for example
I wanted [regular] zombies to have variant skins between zombie types i wanted 2 most common skins and a bunch of rare variants.
-----------
^ also wanted to do the same thing with husk zombies and stray skeletons?
Hi guy's I'm having issue on stock Minecraft I haven't played in awhile, so could be me.
I followed the guide to do simple install of OptiFine_1.11.2_HD_U_B7
Minecraft Version is 1.11.2
Issue when I try and launch it just gives me a black screen 100% of the times I've tried.
Game work's when loading default, but I want to do Resource packs that require Optifine.
Computer: Windows 10
Intel 6600K
32GB Ram
AMD 7870 XT LE
Latest Java.
Intel Core i5 6600k - Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 7 - G.Skill TridentZ 3000 Mhz C15 32GB - PowerColor PCS+ AX7870 LE 2GB - Windows 10 Pro
I got a fullscreen problem where I want to change the resolution to 1280x720 but only fullscreens part of the monitor.
Here is the documentation: https://github.com/sp614x/optifine/blob/master/OptiFineDoc/doc/mob.properties
I try to add Optifine to the Magic launche, but it says "No mods found".
And when I try to manually install it, nothing happens, I've been trying this for ages, any help?
Cause that's it, it just doesn't load up, I have no forge no nothing, I need the manual instalation so I can run this with Click mining fix
Read these 2 posts and see if they help

Everfree Server - A small & friendly survival build server for older 'Crafters.
