Updated preview B6 for 1.11.2 with a bugfix.
Do you have the correspondent Minecraft version in which you want to get Optifine installed in?
What I mean with this is, if you want OptiFine 1.11.2 HD U B5 to be installed, you need Minecraft 1.11.2 installed first. For each Minecraft update there's a correspondent Optifine version. Make sure you have the right Minecraft update downloaded first.
Have you tried the manual installation mentioned in the first post that you can find here under Instalation? You have three methods, A. B. and C. Try one of them
Best regards,
I have the correct/matching versions for what I'm trying to install (1.11.2). I've tried method A but I don't get an installer or anything running after I run the .jar. I tried method C also, but I can't find any changes in the game after doing that.

Hello, so with the abundance of ideas and requests I'm certain you receive on a daily basis I'm not really even expecting a reply to this post.
So I spend and will be spending most of my time designing models of large scales for a map I'm making, making use of the models by spawning them onto armour stands. Some of the models measure about eight blocks in width and length and as you probably already know, entities disappear when the game thinks they are off screen. So, many of my models flicker as the player looks around.
What I am asking is, even if you would not bother spending any time on such a feature, would it be possible to make a mini mod myself that would fix this? Thank you for your time.
This is a performance optimization, the entities are only rendered when their bounding box is inside the screen.
When the custom model is too big it may span outside of the bounding box and when rendered it may disappear too early.
This can be fixed by:
- turning off bounding box visibility check - leads to performance problems
- calculating the bounding box from the model - either dynamically calculated or specified in the model json
Some tile entities are always rendered (beacons, end gateways) and they are handled separately.
What models are you replacing and when are they disappearing - when rotating or when too far away?
Hi, thank you so much for continuously supporting your mod!
I'm using Optifine HD B5 Ultra with 1.11.1 but it seems the language files remain at default >> In the video options: most options are showing their namespace rather than a label. For example, "of.options.DYNAMIC_LIGHTS" instead of "Dynamic Lighting" and "of.options.details" instead of "Details". Inside such menus provide many harder-to-read options. I am unsure what the proper-workaround would be as I do not like replacing original files with modified ones. -- Other than that, Optifine seems to be working wonderfully. =D
Mainly, I would appreciate if the directions for use with Magic Loader could be updated and, if possible, a workaround specified.
Ok, after some experimenting, I found the solution to the "to.options.shaders" namespace-showing issue. The instructions imply that Optifine needs to be selected as a Mod and not an internal mod. Seems really odd it needs both but whatever, it works.
sp614x, Could you add a line to the "Easy, w/Magic Launcher" instructions that states: - Put the Optifine jar in a folder called "mods" so it will show up in Magic Launcher's "Internal Mods" list.
That would save hours of trial & error. Thanks. =)
no reason for this what so ever just upload the "MOD JAR" not an EXTRACTOR.
you can't blame someone else for you not being able to do something. Besides I've never run an "Optifine Installer" I download the jar, put it in the mods folder, and let Liteloader or Forge load it - sort of, dunno, just like what you are asking for
There HAS to be a tweaker installed though. For people who don't want Forge or Liteloader, Optifine itself can be the tweaker. In that case it would need to be installed, the same as Liteloader or Forge would (and they would also require you "to start the version 1.11.2 manually once"). Being able to run the jar as an installer is a service to those people. For you: don't run it, just put it in mods and don't get worked up about it with the passive aggressive "no need for this kjshfdkjfhsdkjfh"
Ok so for some reason when I try to install this with Java it just flashes a black screen, so now I've tried installing it with complex option c and now when I try to launch version 1.11.2_OptiFine it wont launch at all. Can someone help me?

Ok, after some experimenting, I found the solution to the "to.options.shaders" namespace-showing issue. The instructions imply that Optifine needs to be selected as a Mod and not an internal mod. Seems really odd it needs both but whatever, it works.
sp614x, Could you add a line to the "Easy, w/Magic Launcher" instructions that states: - Put the Optifine jar in a folder called "mods" so it will show up in Magic Launcher's "Internal Mods" list.
That would save hours of trial & error. Thanks. =)
you can't blame someone else for you not being able to do something.
