Indeed, was just trying to point to another possible solution. If it works then they found a fix from the Optifine topic even though it wasn't Optifine's fault.
Guys, another problem I have with Optifine: Thaumcraft 4 ores' textures do not load. I mean, in a cave, if there's any TC4 ore, I ca see thorugh it like if Im using Glowstone Glitch. I removed optifine and they appear. Any help?

If you go to page 1, post 1, and LOOK! you'll find a 1.8.1 compatible version. Please understand it's a development version and may have bugs.

Could you please be more specific for that version of FML as I cannot seem to find it. I appreciate all your hard work on this Mod and was surprised to see you update to 1.8.1 so quickly. Unfortunately I am not as confident in others updating their mods for 1.8.1 as fast. I already have FML(11.14.0.1252 1.8 12/03/2014 12:44:45AM) +Liteloader + gammabright and Voxel Map working properly on 1.8 and would love to have old faithful (Optifine) in there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
By the way, no issues at all with Optifine for 1.8.1, works great.

You were most likely looking at the Forge download page. If you look on the FML page (http://files.minecraftforge.net/fml//1.8) you will see the version he is talking about.
That's the only place I look for FML downloads. The page you listed.... I must be blind. Yep I looked again I am blind.... ug.

Now I may be doing something horribly wrong, but I ran the .jar installer and got a profile, ran it, and everything seemed fine. I started a hardcore world and there were some crazy graphical glitches happening (pics posted.) Does anyone know what is causing this or how to fix it?
I'll post a video once it's done uploading.

I fixed it by turning on VBOs in minecraft. It was happening in both vanilla and optifine. I am using AMD graphics with Intel CPU.

That looks like an old vanilla bug from the 1.8 snapshots that was supposed to be fixed... ._.

Ok then... I re-enabled optifine (latest 1.71 preview) in my MultiMC instance (DW20 mods but all fully updated and running #1240 forge).
World crashes either at start of very frequently after a short while... Just when hovering, standing still or doing whatever.
Btw, it's not an EnderIO, or chisel or whatnot problem... Since my world runs crash free without optifine.
Btw running this on an i7-3770K, eVGA GTX 670 FTW, 16 gigs of RAM.. all the latest drivers.

Chunk loading still causes lag for my machine.. Over 60FPS with/without optifine if my render distance is 6 regardless of settings.. IF im not moving and all the chunks are fully loaded up to render distance.. Walking causes FPS to drop below 60 regardless of any settings or render distance option. Also causes stutters. Is there a way to entirely seperate chunk loading to a seperate core and have graphics engine on a different core to eliminate chunk loading stutters or something? or even limit chunk updates to always be less than your FPS your getting?

If you updating connected textures it takes the same amount of time as updating the resourcepack
So if i have a 512x512 pack i need to wait some minutes as example.
