That has been done
Might be best if they all collaborate on this I think.
I sent a PM to the Millenaire author with what I have found so far. It looks like somebody (not OptiFine) is overwriting the items texture sheet with an empty texture with wrong dimensions.
...a long time ago
there had been flickering-screen-errors occured, if you haven´t deaktivated Threaded Optimazation. But since some versions of optifine there are no errors anymore. So this info isn´t actual anymore? Or does the performace get better, if i deaktivate the Threaded Optimazation? Its very annoying to disable it all the time only for minecraft. So it there is no screen-flickering i do NOT have to deaktive thredded optimazations?
thx
Julia
I still get flickering if I don't disable threaded optimization, latest nVidia drivers, GeForce 650m

Really? It wouldn't work. Not only that, but since it doesn't say that it is compatible with forge on the features of D2, I thought for sure that was the problem.

Isn't Optifine supposed to increase fps?
BEFORE OPTIFINE: 125fps
AFTER OPTIFINE: 60fps
I bit confused here.

Nowhere does it state that it will increase FPS if you read the OP properly it states as follows:
This mod adds support for HD textures and a lot of options for better looks and performance. Doubling the FPS is common.
It mainly helps with the HD texture packs for high end PCS rather than FPS. if your already getting 125 fps before Optifine then i wouldnt recommend using it for FPS boost. If its for the HD texture pack support in MC then i would suggest you tweak the settings within Optifine to see if that improves your fps.

Given what I'm experiencing, sp614x messed up something on one of the recent Optifine updates. It's doing bad things for me as well, and didn't before.

But it states commonly doubles not commonly decreases it by over 2x

Sp614x, can you change the link for the latest java build (in the tips and tricks section) to https://jdk8.java.net/download.html ?
I think java 8 builds are better than the 7, is that true?
From what I know java 8 isn't much improved in performance over java 7
I just downloaded Optifine 1.5.2Standard for my minecraft. The computer I am using is a Macbook Pro (2012 version), with the newest OSX (Mountain Lion). Before downloading Optifine, I was getting 65-70 fps while sprinting, 70-80 fps while walking, and up to 115 fps when standing still.
After installing Optifine 1.5.2 Standard, my fps dropped to a constant 60 fps. No matter if I'm running, standing still, or walking, my fps is always 60. However, the gameplay looks smoother than before, even though the fps is significantly less. Am I using the wrong type of Optifine? Should I download the Ultra or Light version instead? Any suggestions?

Thanks for helping, mate
And you would be wrong.
