I know 2 Bugs:
1. The Blindness Affect doesnt work
2. If your looking at lava wih F5 Person looking at you Mode then the sky will look red not completely at lava
I love this mod Soo much but I really don't see any difference well 10-20 fps I can get around 120-130 fps on far and fancy but I still love this mod for the zooming in and the HD texture support. so still best mod ever.
When I run Vanilla Minecraft, with the following settings:
Graphics: Fast
Render Distance: Far
Smooth Lighting: Off
Advanced OpenGL: On
Particles: All
I generally get around 225FPS on the Max FPS setting, and chunks more or less load instantly (less than a second), far faster than the fastest I can travel in the game. I get 150FPS if I turn on Smooth Lighting and Fancy Graphics, but I honestly dislike the way they look. A ridiculous and needlessly high number, and I want to increase my game's view distance to take advantage of the processing power of my computer.
When I run Optifine though, using as close as I can figure out to Vanilla Minecraft settings, I find chunks load extremely slowly, taking up to 20 seconds to load all the chunks at Far view distance. Even when I play with Optifine's settings, trying to go with all the options the mod claims are the fastest, it never gets up to the same speed of chunk loading that Vanilla Minecraft has. With the lowest settings, it caps out at around 150FPS, so it's not even gaining FPS at the cost of longer chunk loading times.
I'm not sure what's wrong. Why is Optifine making my Minecraft have lower FPS and load chunks slower? All I really want to do is increase my render distance.
Any help/ideas about how to set Optifine up correctly?
Got a problem here. I installed Forge and OptiFine in that order. Now, it will let me play new worlds, but it wont load old worlds. If I try to, it says: "Loading World, Building world" and then quits to the main menu. Try it again and it says: "Loading World, Shutting down internal server" and then freezes. I don't want to have to stop using OptiFine, but if it prevents me from playing my old worlds I will. Got any advise?

Are you sure it's optifine's fault?

I think i found a bug with ICBM NEI and this mod
when i look up recepies for ICBM the textures go berserk.
and when i take out optifine, there fine.
plz help!
btw im using D3 but im goona update it to D4 and see if it works
Hmm, why does nothing help my FPS? Must be something wrong somewhere as all of these mods make no difference to my speed. I run between 18 and 25 no matter what mods or what settings I use, even putting a 64x64 texture pack on made no difference. It won't go smoother and it won't get worse. After a while of playing it lags but just cycling through the fog settings gets it back up and running.
As for this mod, I think I prefer the look of this fog over the inbuilt stuff, I think.
Maybe it's all of those mods. If it isn't, then it's your PC.

Try uninstalling it? I use Nodus which has optifine and I don't have the best FPS either (because my system is crap).
When I set Anti Aliasing, it says I must restart for changes to take effect. Fine by me. But it reverts to OFF when I restart, and there's no change without restarting. Is there a reason for this? Optfine is the only mod installed, through Magiclauncher
After playing minecraft for some time in the same day, i try to climb a ladder but it's like it's not even there but i can break it and place it. I have tried breaking it and replacing it but that does not work. It also affects multiplayer. I don't know if this is caused by better sprinting or optifine (since i installed them the same time) but please look into this problem.
I also had this problem. Which build of forge are you using? For me and a couple of others switching back to build #735 fixed it, and I still use optifine ultra.
Take a look here: http://optifine.net/faq.php
Is this going to get fixed? This is the only reason I'm still on 1.5.1.

How do I do that?

These forums are dumb and break my links. I'm bubbleawsome on steam too.
