As you can see, you both share this piece of hardware. Unfortunately, Intel integrated graphics are a troublesome little boost to the market. They allow people to render in 3D for a fraction of the cost of AMD or nVidia cards, but Intel graphics cards do not necessarily have the same support for the same special function calls that those other cards do. I do not believe there is any current workaround.
Actually I seemed to find a solution. For some reason when I used MagicLauncher the game lagged regardless (I have no idea why) and for some reason the Anisotropic Filtering destroyed by framerate which is unusually considering it has virtually no performance impact on any other game. So after I turned off AF and didn't use MagicLauncher, it fixed my framerate issue!
I can't turn off the debug profiler. Nothing works. Turn it off in the options? It's back on as soon as I go back into that area of settings. Set it to false in the optionsof.txt file, still there. Delete the entire freaking line for it, STILL there. Am I doing something wrong or is optifine being a massive cock about this?
In MagicLauncher, put Forge on the top and OF anywhere beneath that. Otherwise, it will crash that way.

I also wanted to say that I get a complete double in my fps running identical settings (from 60 fps to 120+ fps) and can run 60 fps at max settings with OF installed. Great mod.
Hmm, why does nothing help my FPS? Must be something wrong somewhere as all of these mods make no difference to my speed. I run between 18 and 25 no matter what mods or what settings I use, even putting a 64x64 texture pack on made no difference. It won't go smoother and it won't get worse. After a while of playing it lags but just cycling through the fog settings gets it back up and running.
As for this mod, I think I prefer the look of this fog over the inbuilt stuff, I think.
first off turn evreything to fast then turn your fog all the way down and graphics to fast
The option "Video Settings -> Chunk Loading" switches between Standard, Smooth and Multi-Core chunk loading. When using "Chunk Loading: Multi-Core" make sure to Disable "Threaded Optimization" / "OpenGL Threading" in the graphics card control panel (example). For best results disable it globally, not only for java.exe or minecraft.exe.

there had been flickering-screen-errors occured, if you haven´t deaktivated Threaded Optimazation. But since some versions of optifine there are no errors anymore. So this info isn´t actual anymore? Or does the performace get better, if i deaktivate the Threaded Optimazation? Its very annoying to disable it all the time only for minecraft. So it there is no screen-flickering i do NOT have to deaktive thredded optimazations?
sp614x, I have run into an issue within another mod that optifine seems to cause. Im using Bibliocraft, and if you have seen it, it uses reading glasses. The glasses, if your not sure about this mod sorry if you are, render (not sure if right context here for this) text over items and blocks to say what the item is or other usefull info about the object you are looking at. What Optifine seems to cause is instead of the text appearing over the object its appearing behind the object, so it seems to not show text. Im wondering if this is a conflict with Bibliocraft and optifine options or a hardcoded setting? Also is there a way to fix this without causing too much of an issue??
Im not overly sure if i used the terms correctly im not a Java coder so forgive my ignorance on this.
when i install optifine my items become invisible, the small images for the items in chest or inventory not the item in my hand. this does not happen with the building blocks but with everything else.

Happens with texture packs featuring animated icons mostly. Coupled with optifine, and a mod that loads a few of its own textures and the problem is pretty recreatable.

- Optifine D2 isn't compatible with Millenaire. Icons in inventory and chests etc are "invisible" at start of game.
Swapping texture pack (regardless of which) restores the icons until next start of game.
Removing Optifine also helps

make sure to install the 1.4.7 version of optifine, since the ultimate mod pack v1.0.1 is in mc 1.4.7
I am having this problem too. Has anyone figured out what the solution is?
Turning on Anisotropic filtering helps, but it cuts my frame rate in half!
