Ok so Normally i have about 100fps on Default Worlds and 140+ on Superflat. within this last hour Default world has about 10fps and superflat 40fps. WTF is going on?ive checked in task manager what is running and everything
Is it possible to use Optifine in MCP with Eclipse? I'm testing my own mod and it would be helpful to have Optifine for better screenshots, FPS, chunk loading, etc. I tried adding it to the minecraft.jar inside MCP and it shows up on the list of mods but it doesnt have any of the settings. I'm using Forge.
I was about to explain the visual glitch problem that was happening, but you already answered my question, and I'm glad it worked, thank you! (The one about forge needing to be 518 in the FTB Launcher). Glad I finally gotten that solved, I had no idea where the problem was for almost a week. You may need to make an explanation of that in the first post that it's the universal zipfile btw, I had to reread that a few times to figure that out.
My most recent post describing the download process and whatnot is probably the best to look at, to fix a lot of the visual glitches. I'm glad I was able to help!

IndustrialCraft Machines show the machine block texture while reconnecting to a Multiplayer server.
Textures are fine when they have just been placed.
This bug isn't from yesterday, I had this problem when I was using Tekkit Pack back in early 2012, I'm not really sure if its related to Optifine or not, perhaps it is and isn't fixed yet.
Please people, READ THIS, it's about your glitches. The graphics glitch you had, Barqing, was because of your Optifine beingincompatible with Forge. UPDATE YOUR FORGE TO 518 LIKE I HAVE AND IT WILL BE FIXED!

I have updated to Forge v518 and while visual glitches are fixed I have noted what I think is a very large issue. Lappack recharging does not work. Everything else I have tested works without issue but if the lappack is not going to auto recharge my items I think I will stick with the visual glitches.
Ya optifne for 1.4.7 doesnt seam to be optimized. When using the turtle it disappears, also some lava is invisible. Im running ftb mindcrack pack 1.4.7.
I have never seen the invisible items after death.
Miniwolfie posted that it is also happening with vanilla.

To find out your forge version, you should be able to go into the "Forge Mods" section while in the title screen for minecraft, and by going to Forge while in that Forge Mods section, you'll be able to see a version number, x.y.z xyz. The xyz should be in the 500s, most likely at 516. Run your game without optifine to find out obviously, and then if you update Forge to 518 which it probably isn't, you should be able to use Optifine properly.
I went into my game today and say there was an update for the Ultra version of Optifine, I downloaded it, installed it and ran Minecraft but connected textures doesn't seem to work. I have it set at fancy yet it's the same as vanilla Minecraft. I also tried it with fast and it's still the same. Anyone else getting this issue?
Connected textures has to do with texture packs. The default texture pack doesn't really have them. Your best bet would be to get a texture pack if you want connected textures looking really good. I like the Sphax BDcraft texture pack with the IndustrialCraft and TwilightForest and IronChests extensions added onto it. Since it is an HD texture pack, getting it might slow down your computer. If you still want it, get the x64 version instead of x128. The game still looks amazing, and the x64 version is much better for your FPS.

Things that move in general, or change while being used, generally don't work with forge 516 and Optifine. You need to update your Forge using the directions below. I had the same problem, with Water, Minecarts, Boats, Thaumcraft, Lava, etc.

Try re-placing the pipes, or using one of the wrenches on them to turn them if you can.

Download the Universal link, and while in your Launcher, go to your mod pack, go to editing it, and then go in the Jar Mods tab. Disable the minecraftforge that's there, and replace it by pressing "Add mod" and directing it to where you have the .zip file for the upgraded Forge.
