You mean like it was supposed to be about 2 years ago? But it turned out Mojang didn't actually want the whole mod , just some basic parts of it. Negotiations broke and since Mojang has implemented those bits on their own.
So by now IMO they don't want it anymore, probably.
This is something I was unaware of. Still, I cant play Minecraft without Optifine. Well, technically I can, but I have to turn my render distance down to Tiny and turn everything as far down and off as it goes. The issues are that my character's movements still feel sluggish and I cant stand Void Fog. Since I dont know of a legit mod to remove Void Fog, I use Optifine to mitigate how terrible my PC is.

I dont do 1.8
It's terribly laggy and no version of Optifine for 1.8 even registers as being installed when done through AT Launcher.
You're trying to play normal/lightly modded Minecraft through AT Launcher? Isn't that just another modpack launcher?
Advice, don't try to play non-modpack Minecraft through modpack launchers. It makes installing your own mods a pain.
If you want to play 1.8, I suggest installing it manually, or through sp614x's Magic Launcher.

Not really. AT Launcher is simple to use. It's just that with 1.8, if I drop Optifine into the jarmods folder or the regular mods folder, Optifine isnt detected. So for the time being, I stick to 1.7.10

Where do you place Lightmaps? The instructions says "/environment/lightmap0.png: (Overworld)". I tried placing them in assets\minecraft\textures\environment and named it "lightmap0", for the overworld but it isn't working.

If you are using a custom resourcepack, open it with winrar or 7-zip and go into the pack's mcpatcher folder and create a new folder called "lightmaps". Then you'll want to rename the 3 lightmap files that you want to use as world1, world0 and world-1 and put them in the lightmaps folder. That should work.

Sphax does not have Connected Textures.
I didn't know that, but I could have sworn I've seen it used in 1.7 and have Connected Textures. I could have the texture pack mistaken. *Edit* I have checked the Sphax forums and finally found that they will be included in their next update, hopefully.
However, Connected Textures still do not work with the Default Minecraft Texture Pack the last time I checked it.

I tried that first because other resource packs have it set up that way and it didn't work. I'm actually using my own resource pack, and it's not zipped, but neither are the other packs I have, and they're all working fine (besides the lightmaps). Do you mean the "lightmap" without the "s" on the end? I tried it with the folder being named "lightmap" and I tried "lightmaps", but both didn't work. The folder path I used is: assets\minecraft\mcpatcher\lightmap.

I was at my XP Grinder in the Nether (I had skeletons pushed from the overworld to nether via Portal), I went inside the pit with the Skeletons and Rapid fire Arrows happened (from all the Skeletons shooting).

Does this happen without Optifine installed at all? You may want to check that.

The stack trace continues into unimportantness and the message at the top is the only error.
I've got Java 8 and Windows 8.1. All previous installers worked without issue.
It seems to fail to install. Just letting you know =)

No thanks.
I have the same problem.

pls watch my videosI'd love if you could check out my channel.Scoreboard doesn't save anything.
For an Example:
I create a team and objectives with the command and it will save and work properly until I exit the world and rejoin then it just goes back to blank.
This probably wont get fixed since its 1.7.10 but will there be a fix for this in the 1.8 update?

Default doesn't have connected textures either. Try Ovo's, you'll like it.

Connected textures should work with the default resource pack.
Glass, stained glass and bookshelves should be connected.
