Here's something interesting. I am well aware of the zombie glitch in many texture packs, and that optifine ultra b5 is supposed to fix this. I am using a custom flavor of DokuCraft, and if I have random mobs turned off, the zombies look fine. It is only when random mobs are turned on that some of the zombies are broken. Not all of them. Just one of the two zombie variants. Hopefully this helps someone.
sp614x, if you want to look at my pack to see what's wrong, just let me know.

No, that wasn't fixed. Just delete all the 128x64 zombie.pngs or zombie_whatever.pngs, you'll lose some RandoMobs skins, but they aren't updated. Or just add another 128x64 to the bottom.

Let’s play good guys against bad guys… Yes. Let’s play that. Are you ready? You’re the bad guy. And when you’re bad, you just run. That’s fine right? Well… Shall we play?

I added the 128x64 on the bottom and everything is fixed. Thanks!
What is the use for the bottom (or top) half of the zombie texture pack now?
I get this bug where if I am walking and I click (left or right) on a block, I stop walking. Also, shift clicking doesn't work. This only appears to happen when using Optifine with Forge. I'm not completely sure if this is even related to Optifine (sorry if it isn't)
Ok so another thing I've noticed: Every time the :falling infinitely in new worlds" problem is mentioned, it never seems to get a response. I've seen it mentioned over the last 6-8 pages (more or less) and never notice a response for it. This has only happened to me since B5. Is it a known bug? Maybe if I give more details, it'll warrant a response. It happens regardless of having Forge or any other mods installed. I've even tried deleting Minecraft, launching the .exe and downloading it all over again. I'm running Win7 x64 with 64-bit Java. This only happens with B5 (even if Optifine B5 is the ONLY modification to stock Minecraft) so that rules out mod compatibility or bugs. And I've seen it mentioned several times by multiple users, so I know I'm not a fluke case. Any help would really be appreciated. Or even some input as to whether or not A7 is compatible with Forge - I say that because the OP says B5 fixes Forge compatibility or something to that effect...was it broken in A7? Or maybe between A7 and B5, in which case A7 works? I was happy with A7 so I don't mind going back to it...
I have seen the problem and I added some changes to OptiFine to avoid it.
In 1.4.4 the problematic part of the minecraft code is changed and OptiFine is also working a bit differently at this place, so the problem is probably not existing in 1.4.4 with OptiFine D1. I can not reproduce it anymore.
I WANT to donate, But I don't have a paypal account!! there's no option to "pay without account" why not?
Could you fix that?
Yep, an alternative donation method will be added soon that accepts prepaid cards (PaySafeCard, UKash) and many other payment methods. I am working on the integration as it is a bit different than PayPal.
I have the "falling through an empty new world" problem too, nonstop.
Either by dditing the minecraft.jar manually.
Or running via Magic Launcher.
No difference. Same problem, all the time in Optifine Ultra D1 1.4.4 preview.
No clue what to do. I ran ONE world where it generated properly, but 10 other tries where it didn't bother.
Edit: may have fixed it. I used to use javaw.exe to run minecraft. When i updated to 1.4.4 and the latest optifine, plus running through Magic Launcher instead (i hadn't played minecraft in months and months), i let Magic Launcher use the default java.exe instead.
Turns out, java.exe was not allowed in my firewall settings. After clicking Multiplayer and allowing it, then going back to single player and starting a new world, the terrain finally appeared.
So it seems your client MUST be allowed in the firewall even if you play singleplayer, with the latest OF Ultra D1. This was not the case with the previous version for 1.4.2
Maybe this helps you track down the issue.
Edit2: scratch that, seems my frantic pressing of Escape and waiting alot was part in solving the issue. Perhaps the latest Optifine needs to let the terrain buffer / load in for a few sec before dropping the player in?
Sooo I'm actually losing fps with this. I lock fps at 60 and end up with 20-30. Without it I see 100-120. In addition I started getting some very weird crashes that look like a video driver conflict (I have updated and it still crashes). I realllly like optifine please any suggestions?

Wow, there's some really low level computer stuff in that dump. It's giving register mappings, cache contents, and stack contents. Looks to me like something wrong with the way Java is writing data to your computer's hardware. I doubt that is a problem with video cards or drivers, but I'm no expert.
when i use multicore and i place or remove the blocks, the screen freeses a little (lag spike)
i am using the last version for 1.4.2 and i have a dual-core cpu
this issue is on the to do list, do you plan to prioritize that issue?
it is already on the TODO list, but fixing it is not simple.
The spike is generated when the rendering thread has to stop and wait for the chunk loading thread to update the changed chunk(s) near the player. Without this wait the changed chunks would be missing for 1-2 frames and then will appear again.
How come nobody else replied to this? I can confirm this is happening, I can't get rid of the pie chart in F3 even if I press shift or don't press shift, try to change option, nothing changed. Annoying as you don't get the pie chart without Optifine installed.

Looks like you have a controls conflict. No idea why.
Everytime I add IC2 - BuildCraft or Railcraft I keep getting this when optifine is installed.
Coming soon.
EDIT:i installed it right and everything deleted the META-INF
so like wtf
Function over form any day i hate crap that's only for looks....
Lots of information right there.

What other mods are also installed?
Error log?
I use windows 8 and Optifine Ultra A7 work fine for me.
