I'm using the most current RC release for Minecraft 1.9 (B1 I believe?) and having a really weird problem. For the most part things are working totally fine, but (and bear with me, because this makes no sense) I'm having a problem where if I turn on shaders, sometimes I get two background music tracks playing at the same time. One acts like Minecraft's music normally acts, the other plays no matter what I do (even in menus) and goes away if I turn off the shaders.
It doesn't seem to be happening if shaders are off, and the particular shaders don't seem to matter. So...what on Earth could possibly be making this happen? It's pretty baffling.

Just press F3 to open the debug, then press F3 again and T at the same time. This will reload the shader and texture pack and fix the issue.

I'll try that, but would that stop it from happening again? This isn't some kind of known issue and I just missed it, is it? I've played Minecraft a lot over the years but haven't played with shaders much until recently.

I had it recently, first time for me too. Don't think it will stop it indefinitely, but do that each time to enable a shader will stop it. If you keep the same shader enabled all the time then it will stop it base on my experience.
OptiFine has full custom colors support.
If not working as expected
A. Check if Video Settings -> Quality -> Custom Colors is ON.
B. Read the error log and check all warnings generated by Custom Colors. There may be broken textures, invalid configurations, etc.
Okay so I see that most of mine are working but stone isn't. Could you take a look at my file and try to see what's wrong? I've gone through it multiple times and can't find the issue.

Threaded Optimization is not required to be turned OFF anymore.
Forcing AA and AF in the NVidia control panel can lead to visible lines between the blocks and other problems.
I never noticed this when forcing it with FXAA in the Nvidia Control Panel and Im usually super sensitive to this kind of thing. Im curious what everyone else' experience with this is. Is it possible for different AA modes to cause different artifacts such as lines between objects?

During that entire time the answer has always been NO.

Why don't you say that on page 1, post 1? It would stop these inquiries. It won't stop them from using it without permission but neither does ignoring them!

[PSA] - Damn!! Well Don't use Threaded Optimisation, I get a 25-30FPS decrease from enabling it and an ungodly, unplayable amount of stuttering. I haven't tested AF and AA yet.
It might be me, but i feel like shader performance has gotten a bit worse with the 1.9 update.
Yes, I also thought that as well. I've had to drop my render distance by 2 to make up for it. But I'm also feeling a drop in performance in 1.9 overall as well as shader performance.
So it seems that with the full release of optifine im getting the same, if not less fps then if i were on the Pre releases. I was thinking it is probably my terrible laptop, but i get perfectly fine fps on 1.7/1.8. Help would be appreciated!

I'm trying to find out info regarding this too. I think it's just MC 1.9, I believe something has changed and basically MC is now FUBAR, so everyone has much worse FPS and general performance

Also I never got an answer about CIT for armor textures when worn. Is that active in Optifine as it was in MCPatcher or not yet?
Thanks again man
Ah OK, well thank you, that's good to know.
I actually just figured it out haha, I wasn't supposed to have the commas after each block! Colors all fixed!
Still wondering about CIT on armor though
Loving the OptiFine_1.9.0_HD_U_B1 release! All issues I posted earlier are fixed! Thanks sp614x for your great work!

Can I use mod "OptiFine" in my public modpack - CloudAtlas on CurseForge?

There is a problem of OptiFine which may be a bug:
World-embedded resources (resources.zip inside a world folder) doesn't work
Affecting versions for 1.8 and 1.8.9.
It's a vanilla feature added in 14w07a (1.8), which allows specified resources(sounds, textures, etc) be embedded into a world folder.
During OptiFine being active, resources.zip will NOT be loaded. (For example, narrations in Alice's Wonderland by rsmalec)
Currently, the only way I know to load resources.zip normally is to deactivate/remove OptiFine.
If I missed some options to solve this, please tell me.

EDIT 3/29:
I've submitted an issue on GitHub.
Is it me or is the 1.9 preview link broken. File Not Found!
Minecraft crashes on launch for me:
forge-1.9-12.16.0.1767
optifine 1.9.0_HD_U_A4_pre
journeymap-1.9-5.1.5b3
Village Info [1.9]
remove optifine and it has no problems
The versions of Forge & OF you are running are out of date.
You can get OptiFine 1.9.0 HD U B1 here
And Forge1.9 - 12.16.0.1811 here

Is it possible to use CIT with models instead of just textures?
EDIT: Also, just a suggestion, perhaps make Random Mobs have the ability to select the skin based off of name, or even NBT tags?
